Trainer S Nawab and Jockey Suresh Kumar were called in and questioned regarding the running and riding of MISS HIEGL especially the jockey taking a long lead. Trainer stated that he had instructed the jockey go to the front and do his best on entering the straight. However he observed that the jockey  after jumping out permitted his charge to run on its own pace and thereafter in the last 100 mts it fought with the front runners and finished  third. Jockey Suresh Kumar explained that he had been instructed to lead, had encouraged his mount to go forward in the early stages. He further added that after finding the lead his mount settled comfortably without encouragement and felt the best option was to continue to let his mount stride in that pattern rather than attempt to restrain. He further stated his mount had finished of the race well. Their explanations were noted.

Trainer S H Abbas was called in and questioned regarding the dismal performance of LIKE MY CHILD ridden by Jockey Narain Singh as compared to its last run in Race No.202 THE SWEET MEMORIES PLATE. A HANDICAP FOR INDIAN HORSES  RATED 60-86 (ABOUT) 1400 METRES on 23rd February 2016 wherein it was placed 2nd. The trainer stated that he had instructed the jockey to position 3rd/4th and do his best on entering the straight and in his opinion the distance of mile is not suitable to his charge, he was quite shocked with its poor performance. His explanation was noted.

Urine sample was taken from the winner SOLITARY EAGLE in the presence of  Trainer K P Singh  and was sent for analytical test.
