At the behest of the Stipendiary Steward a Stewards enquiry was ordered as the Blind Fold used on MOUNTAIN GUNNER (A Sandesh-drawn 6) was removed late by the handler  as the start was effected thereby denying of a fair start to MOUNTAIN GUNNER.

Prior  to ‘ALL CLEAR’ being declared Jockey A Sandesh  the rider of MOUNTAIN GUNNER unplaced  requested to view the race video with a view to considering  lodging an objection. After viewing the video Jockey A Sandesh decided to proceed with an objection and accordingly an objection was lodged by Jockey A Sandesh the rider of MOUNTAIN GUNNER the reason being “the blind fold could not be taken by the handler as the start was effected”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race interviewed the Jockey, Starter and the handler Qutabuddin and after deliberations, considering the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Steward and based on the observation of the replay of the race the Stewards confirmed that the blind fold used on MOUNTAIN GUNNER  was removed late by the handler as such it was denied of a fair start as such they decided to declare  MOUNTAIN GUNNER as a non-starter. In consequence of MOUNTAIN GUNNER being declared a non-starter a deduction of  on 30% on win and 50% on place bets was effected.

The Stewards further directed the Stipendiary Steward to delve into the incident and place his findings before them.

Jockey Shaliyar Khan the rider of MISS CINDRELLA reported that he was not ready as the start was effected.

Jockey Arman Ali Jafri the rider of LOOKS SENSATIONAL reported that he was not ready as the start was effected due to which he failed to put his left  stirrup thereby his mount jumped out awkwardly inwards from the  starting gates and only after few strides he regained the stirrup.

Jockey M Mani the rider of  MASTER MADRID was fined Rs.3000/- for using the whip in an  improper manner which did not have any impact on the horse.

Urine sample was taken for analysis from the winner RED APPLE  in the presence of Trainer Magan Singh  and sent for analytical test.
