MISS CINDRELLA (Sameer Qureshi) was extremely fractious inside its stall. Trainer I S Parmar has been asked to give sufficient gate practice before next accepting to race.

An Objection was lodged by Jockey Dhanu Singh Deora (BLACK SWAN), placed Second, by the Judge against POWERHAUS (Muzammil Hashmi), placed First, by the Judge for “soon after the jump out till 950 metres, my horse was moving neck & neck with the eventual winner. After that he come in so sharply, bumped and come in front of my horse, I had to literally stop the horse from running to avoid fall and that cost me a certain race”.

The Stewards held an enquiry after the race interviewed the Jockeys concerned and after deliberations, considering the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Stewards and based on their own observation of the incident, decided to overrule the objection as the interference was caused by ASHWA SONIKA.

Jockey Irfan Khan (ASHWA SONIKA) was reported to the Stewards as he was responsible for the interference caused to BLACK SWAN.

The Stewards interviewed Jockey Irfan Khan wherein ASHWA SONIKA was observed to have shifted in from Draw.8 due to which, near 900 metres, POWERHAUS (Muzammil Hashmi) shifted in and caused severe interference to BLACK SWAN, who lost position due to which MISS CINDRELLA (Sameer Qureshi), who was following was forced to shift out on to RED
APPLE (Amandeep Singh) who in turn went out on to BLACK BOXER (Gurpreet Singh). After having heard the submission made by Jockey Irfan Khan and having viewed the replay of the incident, the Stewards found Jockey Irfan Khan guilty of Careless Riding and decided to suspend his Jockey’s License for a period covering 2 (two) Race Days i.e. from 10th
December 2018 to 18th December 2018 (both days inclusive). (Permitted to ride Work/ Mock race).

The veterinary examination of ASHWA SONIKA did not reveal any apparent abnormality.
