Racing Incidents

Jockey Sameer Qureshi was declared to ride on two horses viz ROSES ARE FOREVER & CAPTAIN COOL by Trainers Zulfiqar Khan and Richpal Singh. Jockey Sameer Qureshi has been fined Rs.1,000/ for accepting two rides in the same race. Subsequently, Jockey Akash Rajput was permitted to be declared to ride CAPTAIN COOL by Trainer Richpal Singh.

When questioned, Jockey C Umesh (NICHE ORGANIC) stated that he was uncomfortable during the race due to pain in his groin and alsodue to kick back, therefore, he could not follow the instruction during the race and ride out his mount to complete advantage. The same was noted.

MISS COLOMBIANA was extremely fractious before being loaded and the jockey was injured, as such, was withdrawn before coming under starter’s orders. Trainer KP Singh has been asked to give sufficient gate practice before next accepting to race. As a consequence of withdrawal of MISS COLOMBIANA, a deduction of 20% on win 30% on place bets was affected.
