The Veterinary Officer reported that MANALI was examined on 9th Feb 2022, at 11:30 am, and was found to be lame due to an Injury during track work, as such, was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Trainer Richpal Singh has been asked to obtain a certificate of fitness before presenting his charge for any future trial or race.

At the start, LILLY BELLE (Jai Parkash) was slowly away. PRINCESS ELENA (K Sunny Kumar) jumped out awkwardly.

Jockey Jai Parkash (LILLY BELLE) has been reprimanded for being feeble in his riding effort during the race and trailed the field. Trainer Imdad Ali Khan has been asked to ensure that his charge races with the field in future.

Jockey K Narender Kumar (SMUGGLER’S ART) was observed to have relaxed after a good start and then made no effort to hold his position. As the mare was reported to be lame after the race, no action has been initiated against the Jockey.

Trainer Rajinder and Jockey S Amjad Khan were questioned with regard to the running and riding of FARGO. The instructions were to be in 3rd position and to ride hands and heels and not to use the whip as the mare had come out of laminitis. During the enquiry it was established that the mare was fully fit to race and Jockey S Amjad Khan could not give satisfactory explanation for his feeble riding effort while negotiating the bend and in the straight. as such, he has been fined Rs.4,000/- for Incompetent Riding on his mount.

After the race, SMUGGLER’S ART was found to be lame by its left-fore leg. Trainer Imdad Ali Khan has been asked to obtain a veterinary certificate of fitness prior to presenting his charge for any future trial or race.

After the race, LILLY BELLE was found to be sound.
