ASHWATHAMA (Md Habeeb) was fractious and played up while on its way to the starting gates and dislodged the rider. Jockey Md Habeeb was declared unfit by the Medical Officer, hence ASHWATHAMA was withdrawn.

Jockey Ranjeet Singh reported that at about 200 meters he lost his rein momentarily which he regained shortly.

Jockey Rajinder Saini (GAMATI) reported that his mount was travelling wide in the straight inspite of his efforts. Trainer Raj Kr. Saini was asked to take remedial measures.

GOLDEN DRAGON (VR Jagadeesh) was withdrawn before coming under Starter’s order as was declared unfit by the Veterinary Officer.

Veterinary examination found that the horse was suffering from respiratory tract infection and purulent discharge from nostrils. In respect of the veterinary Doctor’s report, trainer Sartaj Singh was asked as to why did he accept the horse in such condition . To which he stated that three days back the horse had galloped well and there was no sign of any respiratory problem and therefore, he accepted and even fancied this horse in today’s race and he himself was surprised with the Vet’s report. He further stated that he will get the horse scoped and under veterinary advice to treat the horse. Explanation was noted.

Veterinary examination of GAMATI did not reveal any apparent abnormality.
