Racing Incidents

LADY OF THE LIGHT (Akash Rajput) was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order as the filly was very fractious & reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Imdad Ali Khan has been asked to give sufficient practice before accepting next to race.

At the start ATTENBOROUGH (G S Shekhawat) lost about a length At the start SUCCESSFUL (Varun) lost about two length.
An enquiry was initiated into the running & riding of HALCYON (R.Rakesh) in this race & the matter was reported to the Stewards. The Stewards after the last race interviewed Trainer Shakti Singh & Jockey R. Rakesh in the above connection & not being satisfied with the explanations decided to suspend Jockey R.Rakesh pending enquiry with immediate effect for his gross misconduct by not allowing his mount HALCYON to run on its merits. Further, directed the Stipendiary Stewards to conduct a detail enquiry.

Veterinary examination of HALCYON revealed no apparent abnormality. However noticed sharp molars in the mouth.
