GAMBIT (A Ashok Kumar) was permitted to be withdrawn.
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Dinesh Pujar to withdraw KING ADLER (S Chanarashekar) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be suffering from sore back and also was lame on left fore. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club`s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

ADDITIONAL REPORT

I. The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Limited, at their meeting held on the 24^th of June, 2011, considered the following:
a)   Minutes of the Meeting of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Lilmited, held on the following dates:

i)            29^th December, 2010;
ii)           5^th January, 2011;
iii)          18^th May, 2011;
iv)         1^st June, 2011

b)   The Appeal, dated 4th June, 2011, filed by Trainer Mr. B K Narendra against the decision of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Limited in suspending his Trainer’s License with effect from 27^th June, 2011, up to 3^rd August, 2011 (both days inclusive) for not running his charge, PARTY TONITE (Khurshad Alam) on its merits in the above said Race.

II. The Stewards examined Trainer Mr. B K Narendra and Jockey Khurshad Alam. They repeatedly viewed the CCTV replay of the race. After deliberations, the Stewards decided to:

a)   Reject the Appeal, filed by Trainer Mr. B K Narendra;
b)   Forfeit the deposit of Rs.2,500/- remitted by him towards the Appeal Fee;

III. The Stewards, then, took up for consideration the referral made by the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Limited to the Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Limited in respect of the following:

a)   To take further action against Trainer Mr. B K Narendra for not running his charge, PARTY TONITE, on its merits, in the above said race thereby contravening Rule No.159(a) of the BTC Rules of Racing;

b)   To take further action against Jockey Khurshad Alam for not allowing his mount, PARTY TONITE, to run on its merit in the above said Race thereby contravening Rule No.159(a) & (b) of the BTC Rules of Racing.

IV. The Stewards examined Trainer Mr. B K Narendra and Jockey Khurshad Alam. They repeatedly viewed the CCTV replay of the race in question and considered the submission made by the trainer and the Jockey concerned. After due deliberations, the Stewards concluded as follows:

(a) that trainer Mr. B.K. Narendra was guilty of contravention of Rule No.159(a) of the BTC Rules of Racing in not running his charge PARTY TONITE on merits in Race No.46 of the Mysore Winter Races 2010-11 run on 22^nd December 2010.

(b) that Jockey Khurshad Alam was guilty of contravention of Rule No.159(a) & (b) of the BTC Rules of Racing in not permitting his mount PARTY TONITE to run on its merits in Race No.46 of the Mysore Winter Races 2010-11 run on 22^nd December 2010.

V. In the light of the above, the Stewards decided as follows:

a)   To declare trainer Mr. B.K. Narendra, a disqualified person under BTC Rules of Racing with effect from 12-7-2011 to 11-7-2013 (both days inclusive) for not running his charge PARTY TONITE on merits in Race No.46 of the Mysore Winter Races 2010-11 run on 22^nd December 2010 thereby contravening Rule No.159(a) of the BTC Rules of Racing.

b)   To declare Jockey Khurshad Alam, a disqualified person under BTC Rules of Racing with effect from 12-7-2011 to 11-7-2012 (both days inclusive), for not permitting his mount PARTY TONITE to run on its merits in Race No.46 of the Mysore Winter Races 2010-11, held on 22^nd December, 2010, thereby contravening Rule No.159(a) & (b) of the BTC Rules of Racing.

RACE NO.46: THE PLANTERS PLATE - DIV. I (ABOUT) 1200 METRES. HORSES RATED 20 TO 45:

The Board of Appeal at its meeting held on Thursday, 21^st July 2011, considered the appeal dated 25^th June 2011 filed by trainer Mr. B.K. Narendra against the decision of the Stewards of the BTC Ltd., in declaring him a disqualified person under BTC Rules of Racing for a period of two years with effect from 12^th July 2011 upto 11^th July 2013 for contravening Rule No.159(a) of the BTC Rules of Racing in not running his charge PARTY TONITE on its merit in the above race.

The Board noted that pending hearing and disposal of the appeal the operation of the punishment imposed on trainer Mr. B.K. Narendra has been stayed.

The Board also considered the Minutes of the Meeting of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., dated 29-12-2010, 5-1-2011, 18-5-2011 and 1-6-2011 and the Minutes of the Meeting of the Stewards of the BTC Ltd., dated 24^th June 2011 in this regard.

The Board examined Mr. L. Mohan, the spokesman for trainer Mr. B.K. Narendra, the trainer himself and Jockey Khurshad Alam.

After due deliberations, the Board decided as follows:

(a)         To partially allow the appeal filed by Mr. B.K. Narendra;

(b)         Consequently reduce the period of disqualification of Trainer Mr. B.K. Narendra in that he shall be a disqualified person under BTC Rules of Racing with effect from 25-7-2011 to 31-12-2011 (both days inclusive);

(c)         To forfeit the appeal fee paid by trainer Mr. B.K. Narendra.

The Board of Appeal at its meeting held on 21^st July 2011, considered the appeal dated 27^th June 2011 filed by Jockey Khurshad Alam against the decision of the Stewards of the BTC Ltd., in declaring him a disqualified person under BTC Rules of Racing for a period of one year with effect from 12^th July 2011 upto 11^th July 2012 for contravening Rule No.159(a) & (b) of the BTC Rules of Racing in not permitting his mount PARTY TONITE to run on its merit in the above race.

The Board noted that pending hearing and disposal of the appeal the operation of the punishment imposed on Jockey Khurshad Alam has been stayed.

The Board also considered the Minutes of the Meeting of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., dated 29-12-2010, 5-1-2011, 18-5-2011 and 1-6-2011 and the Minutes of the Meeting of the Stewards of the BTC Ltd., dated 24^th June 2011 in this regard.
