Racing Incidents
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. R Mallikarjuna to withdraw SPANDAU BALLET on veterinary grounds as it was observed to have copious muco-purulent greenish nasal discharge from the right nostril. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club`s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. Further, an enquiry is being held into the incident.
Jockey Afsar Khan, the rider of YOU`REMY SENSATION, reported that his mount was galloping in snatches throughout the race and also ran detached. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and no abnormality was reported. However trainer Mr. C.V.G.K. Kishore was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before cccepting with it again.
119. The Aperitivo Plate-Div.I- (About) 1400 Metres, for horses rated 40 to 65, 6 years old and over The Stipendiary Stewards reported Trainer Mr. R. Mallikarjuna to the Stewards for negligence in the performance of his duties as a trainer (Rules No.114(b)(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing in that he accepted his charge in the above race when it was not in a fit condition to race and which was subsequently withdrawn from the above race. The Stewards held an enquiry on 18th May 2011 and examined trainer Mr. R. Mallikarjuna. After deliberations, they decided to give the benefit of a very grave doubt to trainer Mr. R. Mallikarjuna at this instance and cautioned him to be more careful in future.
