Racing Incidents

Jockey D K Ashish, the rider of SHAKA ZULU, placed Second by the Judge, objected against Jockey Fr’co Da Silva, the rider of GAZAKI, placed First, for “in the 25 Metres, the winner was running erratic and bumped me twice, whereby my horse lost its rhythm, which cost me a certain race”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the Race and examined the Jockeys concerned. After deliberations, they decided to overrule the objection.

Jockey Fr’co Da Silva, the rider of GAZAKI, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting ‘out’ and bumping RISING RAINBOW (D Gnaneshwar) on his outside, approaching the 200 Metres.

Jockey D K Ashish, the rider of SHAKA ZULU, was fined Rs.1,000/- for not maintaining a straight course in the final 100 Metres of the Race.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b m GAZAKI.
