Trainer Mr. C D Monnappa was fined Rs.10,000/- by the Stewards for his negligence in accepting his charge, COMMANDING HEIGHTS, to run in the above Race, when the horse was under veterinary treatment. Subsequently, it was permitted to be withdrawn.

SOVETSKAYA (P Trevor) was slowly away and lost a few lengths at the start.
