Jockey S R Santosh Kumar, the rider of LAGOONA, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting 'out' and causing interference to GUNPOWDER (M Rajesh Kumar) on his outside, passing the 400 Metres.

Jockey D Gnaneshwar, the rider of ZOE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the Race [first infringement].

Trainer Mr. Vikram Appachu and Jockey M Rajesh Kumar were questioned regarding the running and riding of GUNPOWDER, in the above Race. The trainer stated that; a) He had instructed the rider to be up with the runners  and ride out in the straight; b) The horse did not show initial speed and travelled 2nd last till entering the final bend, as it usually does; c) entering the final bend, his charge was taken out by another horse, viz., LAGOONA (S R Santosh Kumar) and so it was forced to travel wide and that he did not take any exception to the riding. The Jockey when questioned, corroborated the statements of the trainer and added that despite his best efforts, he could only finish second. Their explanations were noted.

An enquiry is being held into the running and riding of BUCETHALIS, trained by Mr. P C Tejaswi and ridden by Jockey A Ashok Kumar, in the above Race.

It was reported after the Race that ICE BROWN (Deep Shanker) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. J Sharavanan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
