Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Ranjeet Shinde to substitute Jockey A Ramu to ride COUNTRY'S SEPOY in place of, Jockey S Manohar, the declared rider.

COUNTRY'S SEPOY (A Ramu) planted and did not take part in the Race; In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Ranjeet Shinde was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in Two Mock Races on Race Days on the race track.

ORIENTAL MANDARIN (V R Jagdeesh) was slowly away and lost few lengths, at the Start; In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. G T Surender [deputizing for Trainer Mr. Dinesh Pujar] was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in One Mock Race on a Race Day on the race track.

Trainer Mr. C Girinath was questioned as to the relatively improved performance of SAFE BET (Imran Chisty), the Winner of this Race, as compared to its previous run in Race No. 34 of the Mysore Winter Races 2017-18, i.e., The Common Grounds Plate (About) 1200 Metres, for horses rated 00 to 25, held on 5th Day, Wednesday, 20th December, 2017, when ridden by Jockey Nazerul Alam, it ran unplaced. The Trainer stated as follows; a) The previous run of his charge was over six furlongs and he had chosen Jockey Nazerul Alam to avail 3 Kgs allowance and had instructed the rider to take a good jump and be up there with the front runners and to ride out in the straight; b) The rider, having taken a good jump could not keep up with the initial pace, but still settled the horse in third/fourth position; c) In the straight, the rider rode out the horse but unfortunately accidentally dropped his whip, passing the 200 Metres and thereafter the horse was there and there only but still finished 3 ½ lengths behind the winner; d) In the above Race, which was over seven furlongs, he had declared Jockey Imran Chisty given similar instructions to him; e) As the pace was slow, after taking a good jump, he found himself in front; f) He maintained his position till the straight and rode it out and won well as the company that he was competing with was a very mediocre one; While noting his explanations, he was cautioned to be careful and consistent as to the future running of his charges.  

Trainer Mr. Vikram Appachu was questioned as to the inconsistent pattern of running of DURER (M Rajesh Kumar) in the above Race as compared to its previous run in Race No.48 of the Mysore Winter Races 2017-18, i.e., The Mangalagangotri Plate – Div. I (About)  1100 Metres, for horses rated 00 to 25, no whip, run on Sixth Day, Wednesday, 27th December, 2017, when ridden by the same Jockey, it finished Second. After due enquiry, Trainer Mr. Vikram Appachu was fined a total sum of Rs.10,000/-, for the inconsistent pattern of running of his charge, DURER (M Rajesh Kumar), in the above Race, as compared to its previous run in Race No. 48 of the Mysore Winter Races 2017-18 and for the unsatisfactory explanation tendered during the enquiry.

AS ALWAYS (J H Sunil Samson) sustained injuries inside right fore cannon and right hind pastern.
