KAGUYA HIMEI (R Ajay Kumar) was very fractious inside the Starting Stall, reared up and got cast, inside the Gates. Under the circumstances, it was withdrawn before coming under Starter's order.

Jockey Irvan Singh, the rider of ANTEROS, was reprimanded for repeatedly changing course, in the Straight, for no apparent reason.

Jockey R N Darshan, the rider of PREMIER ACE, reported that his mount was hanging “out” throughout the Race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported. However, Trainer Mr. Ranjeet Shinde was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

It was observed that PIKACHU (V R Jagdeesh) was hanging “out” after entering the Straight. Trainer Mr. S M Johnson was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

Jockey Irvan Singh, was questioned as to his riding on his mount ANTEROS, in the above Race. The rider stated that his mount was not showing any initial speed, was also not galloping fluently and despite his efforts, did not improve position, in the back stretch. It was only in the Straight that it started to respond to his urgings and ran on well to finish second. While noting his explanations, he was informed to be more judicious while riding his mounts, in future. 

An enquiry is being held into the vastly improved performance of MOMOTARO (Chethan Gowda, trained by Mr. Rakesh), the winner of the above Race, as compared to its previous run in Race No. 54 of the Mysore Winter Races 2019-20, i.e., The Varuna Plate (About) 1800 Metres, for horses rated 20 to 45, run on Eighth Day, Tuesday, 31st December, 2019, when ridden by Jockey C Umesh, it ran unplaced.

Surprise sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b g MOMOTARO.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Trainer Mr. Rakesh to the Stewards, vide Charge Sheet No. 254, dated 11th January, 2020, for breach of Rule No. 114 (b)(i) of the My.R.C. Ltd., Rules of Racing [negligence in the discharge of his duties as a licensed Trainer], “in that, as the Trainer of MOMOTARO,for the vastly improved performance of his charge MOMOTARO, the winner of the above Race as compared to its previous run in Race No. 54 of the Mysore Winter Races 2019-20, i.e., The Varuna Plate – (About) 1800 Metres, for horses rated 20 to 45, run on Eighth Day, Tuesday, 31st December, 2019, when ridden by Jockey C Umesh, it ran unplaced as also, in all its previous runs, during the Mysore Winter Races 2019-20, i.e., Race Nos. 31, 24 and 15, where it ran unplaced”. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last Race on Wednesday, 22nd January, 2020, and examined Trainer Mr. Rakesh. After due enquiry, they decided as follows; a) Should Trainer Mr. Rakesh be granted a Trainer's license to train under the Mysore Race Club Limited Rules of Racing, for the year 2020-21, the same shall remain suspended from 20-05-2020 to 24-06-2020 [both days inclusive]; and b) to fine him a sum of Rs.30,000/-(Rupees Thirty Thousand only), for breach of Rule No. 114 (b)(i) of the My.R.C. Ltd., Rules of Racing [negligence in the discharge of his duties as a licensed Trainer], pertaining to his charge MOMOTARO, in the above Race. He was informed of his right to appeal.
