PERFECT PASS (Akshay Gaikwad) jumped awkwardly `outwards, thereby inconveniencing SHIVALIK STYLE (Md. Imran Ashraf), on its outside, at the Start.
Jockey M Prabhakaran, the rider of BE BOLD, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to MYSTICAL MERLIN (Chotu Jaiswar), on his inside, which went on to EWANDOR (K Sai Kiran), on its inside, soon after the Start.
Trainer Mr. Vikram Appachu and Jockey K Sai Kiran were questioned by the Stipendiary Stewards regarding the performance of ch g EWANDOR, which finished second in the above Race. The trainer stated as follows; a) He had instructed his rider to take a good jump and sit well up with the pace and to ride out in the Straight; b) The rider has ridden this horse accordingly, but his charge was not going anywhere at all; c) According to him the winner was a very good type of youngster, which won very well and that his charge was no match to it; While corroborating the statements of the Trainer, Jockey K Sai Kiran stated that despite his best efforts to ride out his mount in the straight, his mount did not get up at all and was running there and there only. Their explanations were noted for future reference.
