An objection was lodged by Jockey Arvind Kumar N, the rider of IRISH COFFEE, placed first by the Judge, against Jockey, P P Dhebe, the rider of ACHOOK, also placed first by the Judge [Dead heat for the first place], for "inside the final 250 Metres when my horse was full of running, when I picked my stick & started riding, Jockey P P Dhebe, the rider of ACHOOK came on to me and hit on my hand, where I lost my whip, which cost me a certain race.” The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the Race and examined the Jockeys concerned. After due deliberations and after repeatedly watching the CCTV footage of the above Race, the Stewards decided to overrule the objection.
