Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Md. Sajid Qureshi to withdraw EDDIE THE EAGLE (A K Aniket) on veterinary grounds as it was observed to be trotting lame on right fore due to a hoof abscess. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

LUCKY POINT (T Pavan) jumped awkwardly `inwards’ at the Start.

Jockey P Kiran Rai, the rider of TENALI was reprimanded for coming `in’ and inconveniencing REVELATOR (Angad) and LUCKY POINT (T Pavan), on his inside, passing the 1100 Metres.

Jockey B Darshan Antony, the rider of MINX was reprimanded for shifting `in’ and inconveniencing SPIRITUAL FORCE (Shreyas Singh), on his inside approaching the 900 Metres.

Trainer Mr. S Ramesh was questioned into the improved performance of his charge, TENALI (P Kiran Rai), within a span of 6 days. His charge won the above Race, as compared to its previous run in Race No. 36 of the Betway Mysore (Monsoon) Races 2023, i.e., The Fair Wood Plate, (About) 1400 Metres, for horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old and over, run on Fifth Day, Thursday, 21st September, 2023, when ridden by the same rider, it ran unplaced.

The Trainer stated as follows;

a)    His charge’s first run was in Race No. 22, which was a no whip race and in that race, his charge was very unlucky and finished a close 2nd. According to him, his charge could have won that race;

b)    Prior to this run in the above Race, his charge ran in Race No. 36 which was run over 1400 Metres where it ran on from behind;

c)    He felt that the 7 furlongs was a bit too long for his charge and so he decided to run it in the above Race;

d)    He had fancied its chances to win the above Race, which was run over a distance of 6 furlongs, the ideal distance for his charge and it ran well and just about won the above Race. Not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by Trainer Mr. S Ramesh pertaining to the improved performance of his charge, TENALI (P Kiran Rai), in the above Race, the Stipendiary Stewards decided as follows;

(i)    Fine Trainer Mr. S Ramesh a sum of Rs.10,000/- [Rupees Ten Thousand only], for the improved performance of his charge TENALI, in the above Race;

(ii)    Caution the Trainer, Mr. S Ramesh, to refrain from running his charges week after week and in different distances and that a repetition of a similar manner of running of his charges in future would entail him being reported to the Stewards for appropriate action.
 
It was reported after the Race that LUCKY POINT (T Pavan) lost its left fore shoe, during the race.
