Racing Incidents

Jockey M.Kalyan Singh has been substituted on Royal Turn as Jockey G.Manikandan was declared medically unfit to ride.

Trainer Faisal Md.Khan has been fined a sum Rs.2,000/- by the Stipendiary Stewards for the faulty wrapping of bandages on both fore legs on his charge Good Boy (Jockey Shahar Babu).

The saddle used on Unknown Rebel (K.V.Baskar) slipped passing 600 metres, causing the horse to shift in and clipping the heels of Royal Star (Noorshed Alam) and falling. Open Offer (C Murugan) and Tbilisi (B Ananda) tripped over the fallen horse and fell dislodging their respective riders. All the three jockeys were given  mmediate medical attention. Jockey B. Ananda has been shifted to the Hospital and is under observation. Jockeys C. Murugan and K V Baskar escaped with minor injuries. Further, the Stewards fined Trainer A D Silver a sum of Rs.10,000/- for the faulty saddling.

The explanation of Trainer J Sebastian re- the improved performance of his charge Royal Turn has been noted. However, he has been severely cautioned to ensure that his charges run more consistently in future.
