To suspend Jockey Dharshan Antony with effect from 20th November 2022 to 10th December 2022 (both days inclusive) for breach of Rule 161(ii) of The Madras Race Club Rules of Racing for Unsatisfactory riding on his mount AYUR SHAKTI in Race no.29 run on 10th November 2022, wherein:

Despite his mount AYUR SHAKTI being full of running entering the straight, Jockey Dharshan Antony permitted EUPHORIC (P.S.Kaviraj) the eventual winner of the race to take a considerable lead and thereafter after passing the 300 metres began riding and in that he did not ride out to potential and rode a very feeble ride till passing the winning post.

i.) Firstly passing the 800 metres he shifted in sharply causing interference to RHIANNON (Md.Farhan Alam) who had to check his mount and shift in, resulting in severe interference to ALEXANDER (Y.S.Srinath),travelling on his inside, who stumbled causing a check to SUCCESSION (Yash Narredu) travelling on the inner rails, the latter dropping back by over 3 lengths.
ii.) Thereafter again shifting in sharply under use of the whip causing interference to PIRATE’S LOVE (Vivek G) travelling on the inner rails passing the 200 metres.

The Jockey is permitted to ride work during his period of suspension.

The Jockey was informed of his right to appeal to The Board of Appeal in terms of Rule no.46(a).

The Stewards after viewing the CCTV replay of the race multiple times, considering the statement of the Stipendiary Stewards and after having questioned Jockey Dharshan Antony the rider of SUPREME DANCE came to a conclusion that the Jockey was in breach of Rule 161(i) of the Madras Race Club Rules of Racing and resolved as follows:

Considering that Jockey Dharshan Antony is already suspended under the MRC Rules of Racing from 20th November 2022 to 10th December 2022 to further suspend Jockey Dharshan Antony with effect from 11th December 2022 upto 16th December 2022(both days inclusive) for breach of Rule 161(i) of The Madras Race Club Rules of Racing for careless riding on his mount SUPREME DANCE in Race no.31 run on 10th November 2022, wherein:
 
i.) When the start was affected the Jockey allowed long reins resulting in his mount jumping outwards and causing interference to CYNOSURE (Neeraj Rawal) drawn 2, thereafter for further allowing his mount to shift out sharply causing interference to CARNOUSTIE (A.Ayaz Khan), GINGERSNAP(Vivek G), LA JEFA(S Antony Raj),KINGS WALK(S Kabdhar) and the worst affected being SPORTING SPIRIT(Yash Narredu) who stumbled momentarily unbalancing the rider.
ii.) Thereafter for shifting out sharply under use of the whip bumping and causing interference to SPORTING SPIRIT (Yash Narredu) and simultaneously causing a check to PRICELESS BEAUTY(S.A.Amit) travelling on SUPREME DANCE’s near hind quarters passing the 250 metres.

The Jockey is permitted to ride work during his period of suspension.

The Jockey was informed of his right to appeal to The Board of Appeal in terms of Rule no.46(a).

Permission was granted to Trainer G. S. Parmar to deputise on behalf of Trainer Adhiraj Singh Jodha for WINDERMERE (Shrikant Kamble) at both trainer's risk and liability.
