Bharat holds edge in 2000 Guiness

The Bangalore raider Bharat from leading trainer Prasanna Kumar holds a cutting edge in the second classic of the season, the Nilgiris 2000 Guineas at the races on Sunday. The favourite to be piloted by Umesh has impressed most in the morning trials and taking into account that he has successfully locked horns with higher rated youngsters, Bharat is set to record his first classic victory at the Blue Mountains on Sunday.

The principal added attraction, the Stewards Cup should end in a straight fight between the double classic winner Something Royal and Still I Rise. The former appear in good shape and is likely to score.
