RAKESH going strong as ever, and well clear of the opposition.
It was a great day at the races out here in Kolkata, and a huge derby turnout had a profitable afternoon. All the eight races were at the mercy of Zervaan(3),Trevor(3) & Allan(2). Local horses and riders came off second best.
AMALFI & AMOL were the best performers of the day.

what a beautiful day of racing...on a derby day like this,,it's absolutely brilliant...the whole atmosphere was superb.huge crowd and racing at its best..
What a superb and scintillating gallop by HALL OF FAMER..David Allan at his best and Paddy deserves a big congratulations..
I was there at the race course today.really,,it was a great race to watch LIVE..

it is surprising that no one has discussed The derby inspite of an excellent write up by Major.
Few facts ignored by many Accolade 2400 mtrs is doubtful
It beat Germanics in 2000 mtrs now in mum with average runs.
Pune derby winners have a poor record after the win. Have flopped.
So it should be between the two filles. My pick Silver beauty last run dazzling.
S.Heroine wins looks very tough in the 7th race

Gryfindor,Drops of jupiter,Captain cook has no chance to win.Also Akhaya after a heavy whipping.I request to Sooth sayer who I consider the best tipster in calcutta races to give his choices.Golden girl nice to see your postinga on normandys race.Tomorrows derbydays selections is eagerly awaited especially of the above races.
As per Majors article I discount the chances of Accolade a burn out one along with Hall of famer.
