4.10 Lightly raced and still unexposed #4 D'ACCORD had specking when ran a much improved race when resuming from lengthy lay-off. Will surely have only benefitted enormously for having had that run under her belt. Hard to beat.
4.35 #5 SIR DESMOND raced on the speed and weakened at mile trip last start. The shorter journey looks a plus and rates as one of the main chances with Trevor on board.
#12 SUPER BOLT has been consistent in this class and would not leave out of chances with good claimer.
5.00 May find a bit of value with #3 MERABELLA in this. Although has done nothing fresh in previous preps since resuming but takes a nice drop in class and will be better over this trip. Must respect with winning jockey on board.
5.30 #1 NUTCRACKER was impressive winning this track and distance last start and can back it up in this field. Gets in well after the claim to defy the class penalty.
5.55 #2 HIGHLAND PRINCESS looks an improver back to something a bit easier with the good jockey on board. Must respect.
6.25 #4 ROYAL ECLAIR will be fitter for her easy run back from a spell. Drops in grade and should go close to winning this.
#11 MASTERMARKSMAN has been trying for a while but distance suits. Will give this a shake with 5kg claim.
6.50 #8 GOD'S OWN showed good ability in her maiden preparation and did well in her seasonal debut. Bound to have been improved by the experience and she is drawn to get the perfect sit and will be hard to beat.
7.15 #3 ARABELLE is resuming from a lengthy lay-off , she showed promise earlier and her recent trials are suggestive, drops in grade and she should be prominent throughout.
Keep an eye on #6 GREEK GODDESS who gets well under minimum after the claim and if she finds her Pune form she will give this a shake. Don't discount.
7.45 #7 HUNTING PLEASURE will strip fitter second-up from spell and apprentice claim brings him nicely in in this field.

An ornery but longish card has been framed for today evening's races at Mahalaxmi. Following are my quick observations....
Race no. 1:
D'Accord, with Neeraj aboard, looks like the winner here on account of her good second place finish last time out.
Race no. 4:
Nutcracker may not be able to defy the penalty.
Sabiq is the hot favourite and could well bring the bacon home.
But the one I like is Trombone. She was full of running when losing to Geranium as a favourite - the extra 400M may work to her advantage.
Race no. 7:
God's Own had a good lung-opener and holds the upper hand.
Hedge with MAM Trust's Gallant Knight.
Race no. 8:
Poonawallas' Arabelle may not be able to give off her best in her first run of the season over 1000M. But keep her in the pools.
Greek Goddess is in with a good chance, based on her two victories in Pune season over the same distance. But can the rookie aboard manage to get ahead from an outside draw in this scurry is the big question in my mind.
MAM Trust's Minstrel Heights won at good odds twice in Pune over the same distance, can win here if given the nod.
The other Poonawalla runner Lady Danehill also needs to be included in the pools.

Hi All,
1-4 D'ACCORD - Lost narrowly to Golden Eclipse (By Aqalaam)with a timings of 1:11:98 over 1200m. I don't see any opposition. Play good and start well with the first race.
2-3 WILDHORN - By Mount Nelson, Ran a good 4th last time coming from behind at 1200m and now extra 200m will suit and should win this time.
3-3 MERABELLA - By Desert Style, is a winner over 1600m beating Silver Beauty who went on to win classics. I think should beat Volantis.
4-2 SABIQ - Running well and consistently and a good second to Normandy I did not fancy Nutcracker last time as well and not even this time. My Days best is SABIQ.
5-2 HIGHLAND PRINCESS - Came from 14 draw to finish a close 5th ridden by Kishore K. Now Sandesh in the saddle and a better draw should go start to finish.
6-4 ROYAL ECLAIR - This is a lower category race. This horse is consistent over 1400m. TS Jodha in the saddle. Decent Chance.
7-8 GOD'S OWN - This only horse in the race with a run. Good second with Dasarath in the saddle. Will take it to the winning post this time.
8-6 GREEK GODDESS - By Canford Cliff. Now with a weight advantage and H Zeeshan riding. Should win start to finish. Lady Danehill will follow.
9-6 WONDER STORY - Has a better timings then others and moreover weight advantage. Decent Chance.
