Normally I try to pick out a theme.Tomorrow is an A.Imran Khan double.The 1st race and the 6th race. These will be my bankers.
My selections :
Race # 1. As above.
Race # 2. Apache Sunrise (1). I will look for odds above even money. Place stablemate Chemical romance (10);
Race # 3. Diamond Green (4) an each way bet;
Race # 4. Bold Command (1). I hope I can get 1 1-2.
Race # 5. Quaker Ridge ( 1). A small bet as its looks too open for my comfort. In place Jersey Wonder(3) is certain.
Race # 6. Fire Glow (1). A Imran Khan double as above;
Race # 7. We Tambrams will pronounce Capt Morgan(4) as Murugan.Thus Capt Murugan will score from Proserpine. My betting strategy is _ Capt Murugan in win; Magestiro (6) and Proserpine (10) in place.
Race # 8. Eredemir (1) in win. Place Lightning Attack (4). Time for Trainer Loknath to wake up.
Race # 9. If I am solvent till then Topaz in win. Place Hurrah(12).

Bangalore Derby day selections 26/1/2016
1.15 #6 CALL ME MAYBE will be fitter for two sound runs back from a spell is one to beat.
1.45 #1 APACHE SUNRISE charged home strongly for an impressive maiden win and will be suited up to this distance with good speed on up front. Capable of a repeat.
2.15 Ignore his last run after a lengthy lay off #8 CHINA ONE looks ready to peak and may bounce back.
2.45 #4 AURIGA made up a good ground from a long way back here last start. Third up should be ready to peak and distance suits. Has earlier beaten Bold Command at this trip.
3.20 #1 QUAKER RIDGE is suited by this distance, he has been a beaten favourite at his last outing but should be prominent throughout and hard to hold off with S. John aboard.
Keep an eye on #2 TOROLOCO who gets the drop on everything, he'll be charging home and will give this a shake.
3.55 #1 FIRE GLOW merits strong consideration for his close 2nd to proserpine first up and comes through a graded race last time. Will be running on hard.
4.30 Bangalore 1000 Guinness winner #10 PROSERPINE has shown vast improvement and is very consistent filly, this is harder but she should get a nice run throughout and be in the finish.
5.10 #1 ERDEMIR ran well in better company last start after some promising efforts prior to suggest his turn will come sooner rather than.
Keep an eye on #6 KANTHAKA who has been well prepared and can upset.
5.50 #4 ZUBAIDA was well beaten as a favourite resuming last start but will be fitter for that effort and can bounce back.

It's been quite a while since I last posted on this forum.
Having had a look at the card, I find no single bet that I can wager with any confidence; maybe the long layoff has made me rusty, nevertheless I'd like to mention my two bit about the Derby.
To start off with, using Major's line of thinking, I'm ignoring the ones with a rating lesser than the field rating of 63, and that leaves me with just Battalion, Captain Morgan, Magistero, and Proserpine, however my final choice is one from outside this list.
Battalion's numbers on the pedigree chart are very strong for the distance, however, for some reason I don't fancy him; probably because he's primarily an Ooty horse. My personal opinion, no offense meant here.
Second on my list is Captain Morgan, and I'm not too impressed by the pedigree numbers, so he's off my list.
Magistero has better numbers than Captain Morgan, so I expect this one to be ahead of CM, that's about it.
And finally, Proserpine, I reckon is the one to fight it out with Magistero for better place stakes.
So, I've discounted all those who figured on my initial list, and that's because there's BOLD MARCH, a Razeen (Damsire) progeny who can land the spoils. No doubt he's 3RP below the field rating, but you can never give up on one with Razeen lineage.

The Derby Day is here. In the Derby, the prime contenders appear to be: Captain Morgan, Proserpine, Battalion and Magistero. Bangalore Derby tends to produce surprise winners, so I am wary of supporting the favourite Captain Morgan. My hopes will ride on Proserpine, who displayed class while claiming 1000G on this course....
Elsewhere, in race no. 4, the in-form Bold Command shapes as a good bet....
