i never spoke about indian jockeys, jockeys indian or foreign whoever it it is when they are asked to pull they pull, when they asked to ride they ride to their merit rstiis all the horse and preparation. riding skills are different donohue is a better rider than allan, cedric do u think he is a foolish rider, he is here to fool you all, he has vast exp. these are all tricks played on punters.

Hi All,

I feel jockeys Sandesh and Neeraj gave a peach of a ride to there respective wards and though it looked at one point SAA would cruise ahead of HOF, there was that little extra left in HOF to cross the finish line first.
Even during the paddock parade both the jockeys were very relaxed and showed no signs of pressure.
Just that David did them in with the pace which best suited HOF.
Coming back to Invitation, it will be a cracker of a race with many horses ready to reverse the verdict.

Why do you don't appreciate the winner. David Allan kept is horse start to finish and you are telling David Allan is a gamble rider. A SANDESH Is a gamble rider SAA just cruising but he didn't tried see the replay I APPRECIATE DAVID ALLAN if he is an ordinary rider in England why would he win here and why s Padmanabhan will give him to ride his horse if he is not a nice rider he could give some U.K. Jockeys but he didn't give. So David is a good rider.

Anyway u are wrong in pointing out the defeat of Sandesh and comparing with victory of David... Sandesh chose SAA rather than GERMANICUS to ride to victory... Similar way if he was given option of HOF also, he would hav chosen HOF only... I think u understood the point... It's the jockey that won the Derby.. not the horse.... Plz don't hurt others by blaming Indian topmost jockeys like Sandesh or Kamlesh...

Dear punters,

I have nothing against Sandesh or any other jockey, just wanted to tell that it was Allan tactics that gave him slender lead and helped in winning the Derby, I have seen many instances where the verdict is reversed in invitation, to name a few be safe quasar, Becket Jacqueline or decades back super brave vs little over, which I remember most.
At the end of the day only winner is hailed as pointed out below, so let's hall of famer njoy the glory it deserved

Dear friends nothing is so great about David Allan riding. The filly Hall of Fame was well prepared and anyone on it would not have made a big difference. SAA is a good colt but has not gone the distance, maybe next time out it might travel better.

If David was such a great rider then what about riding the second fav in Dr MAM million on Zanara who finished 9th???

verdict is very short if some high caliber jockey like y.s srinath sites on any 2,3 placed horses verdict would be different.

David Allan took the horse to the front soon as HOF crossed 200 mtrs. He went on a start to finish mission. At one point of time even when SAA had not yet crossed HOF commentator says it's SAA when it never crossed.

Allan is better rider than all the Indian jockeys at present except Sandesh, Trevor,Srinath. He is what Desert God/ Hall of Famer to Indian racing. The reason for the loss is a) no pace maker though the group had more horses knowing fully well HOFs trainer's tactics. b) the group should have tried all the horses on merit instead of one particular horse. Finally what was the role of Mrs.P & Germanicus Did they really compete and ran the race ? If so how can Supreme General and WR finish ahead. As long as there is groupisms you end losing side sometimes when there is a good horse from outside not attached to this group.

If you call David Allan an ordinary rider then what u call Sandesh?? An apperentis jockey or a riding boy?? The fact is hard to beleve by SAA supporters that it lost to Hall Of Famer ridden excellently by David.

David has no extra-ordinary skills like Aslam. Only the Horse matters.In case of AK 47, he matters and not the horse. Horse even with 70% chance, he will make it to win.

You are INSULTING our champion jockey Sandesh.
All jockeys ride their horses as per the trainer's instructions. Result is there.. SAA lost because of its stamina limitations. Give full credit to the winner.

For example I will recite following incident.
Zervan-Pesi Shroff successfully associated with Tiger Tops five times before the Eveready Calcutta Derby Stakes in 2015, where the filly lost to Quasar by 3/4 length. If you go to Horse Talk Archives, you can find all the novice to experts in HT cursed only Zervan for the loss in the Derby to Quasar. Nobody wanted to give the credit to the winner Quasar who continued to win 11 more races thereafter. Since then What happened to Zervan and Tiger Tops all we know. Pesi suddenly ousted Zervan from his stable. Tiger Tops ran 8 times before retirement, out of 8 runs, just a single win in Indian Oaks - poor bunch.

Horse Talkers are talking thru their pocket and insulting Sandesh. It is reminding the Zervan-Tiger Tops loss in Kolkata Derby. Horse Talkers just do not want to give any credit to the winner and winning team. Why people forget HALL OF FAMER took the LEAD within 18 seconds (250m) from the start and won 2400m Derby trip start to finish, David giving no chance to anyone to surpass him..? Such a horse losing the 2017 INVITATION CUP is unimaginable. With Hall of Famer, S.Padmanabhan this year also scripting same story of Desert God to annex the Invitation and St.Lager. No Doubt about it !!

Saw the video last night. Temerity was the fastest moving horse among all.

All these will again fight it out in BNG next month. I cannot see any other horse from CAL ,HYD or BNG giving them a fight

I do not think there will be any change in the jockeys among these 3.

Why were some horses entered beats me. Supreme General [a got abroad expensive colt] Germanics last week 2400 mtrs run Silver beauty with final entry fee of rs 6 lakhs.

I personally feel MUM trainers have become lazy and easy going with too much of prosperity. A air of complencency has set in with them.

No excuses as the best horses most expensive training fees and a very protected field of operation.

why dont you people stop this, terminity is late bloomer, SAA is good for 2000 mts. allan is an ordinary rider in england, there is hughes, kirby, johnson, lee,steve, much more. allan is a gamble rider.

@Anoasku everytime the public fav horse loses itz difficult to digest for punters but hall of famer is a strong stayer and everyone will beleve this in coming future.. no doubt David Allan did a fantastic job in her winning but as she will gain experince she will become more better and no doubt she is better then SAA and Temerity nothing more to discuss if any doubt then see yestdays race result
