On behalf of all the Contestants and personally myself, I thank from my heart,to Major Sir for being our Hon'ble Chief Guest and to Shri Sagar Ji for completing very very successfully one more edition of the Prestigious Four Derbies PTR Contest.

It is indeed my luck to be part of the Team organizing the Contests and I trust I have delivered to one and all to their Individual satisfaction connecting the contest for this year Derbies contest.

My Congratulations to Altaf and Gayathri ( Winner and Runner Respectively) and all the Contestants for your enthusiasm and the True spirit which you all have displayed during the entire Tenure of the Contests. As you all must have seen that i have tried to disclose maximum Data connecting the contests.

As requested and predicted by both of you , we are very optimistic of the Contestants to be 100 Plus in the next year contest.

With the above note to both of you distinguished personality, I conclude and wrap the 2017 Contests and wishing all the contestants all the very best in all your endeavors.

Heartiest congratulations to Altaf for winning the 2017 Four winter Derbies PTR contest, as well as to Gayathri for being the runner up. Gayathri was consistent with her performance in the first three derbies, and had a useful lead on entering the straight, but Altaf came with a sustained run and emerged a clear winner, while Gayathri was a clear second. Congratulations to Happy Days and Esoteric for finishing in the frame. Well played libero, Abhay_Pune and Prinit…. for finishing in the top seven

Considering an average Tote deduction of about 17.5 % ( average of all the four centres) in win, shp and place bets, and about 45 % in Forecast and Tanala bets, the par score for this competition is worked out as about 2,05, 000 (222000*0.825 + 40000*0.55). So for all those who scored in excess of 2.05 L their performance can be considered commendable. I think there are eleven who are in this category

It has been our privilege here at HT to have Major Nargolkar (RETD) as the Chief Guest `to do the honours` for this competition. He is admired by one and all at Horse Talk as can be seen by going through the responses. His knowledge of racing and horse breeding is second to none in India, perhaps in the world. The amount of information stored in his brain, on these topics is mind boggling. His previews for the classics are always eagerly awaited, and followed extensively by racegoers, before they decide on their betting strategies. He uses both hemispheres of his brain - the left hemisphere dedicated to logical and analytical thinking, and the right to intuitive and holistic understanding - in his analysis. I thank him for his excellent posting and for his kind words about me.

I am thankful ( profusely) to my dear friend Skumar and his team for his immense contribution in compiling the scores and putting them in a platter for all to see. It is by no means an easy task and he has always done it in such a short time in each of the four legs.

Many thanks to the ADMN of Indiarace for their help and perfect support in this endeavour.

The enormous success of the contest has given me immense pleasure, and I thank all the participants for the same. Hopefully the 2018 contest will be even more successful and see a century of participants.

I request the winner `Altaf` and the runner up `Gayathri` to please let me have their postal addresses so I can send them a copy of my new book `Intelligent Field`. The book has just been published by `Create Space` an Amazon based company in US. The book will soon ( after about a week ) be available on Amazon US and Amazon Europe. It will be some time ( a few weeks), before I receive some copies which I have ordered. As soon as I receive, I`ll send by courier a signed copy to the top two.

I did pretty well in the first Derby but had to many things to do a day before second Derby and missed out sending my choices.
I did fairly well in the third and again missed out in nominating in Indian Derby,the winnner being my first choice!
Bethatasitmay, I wish to record my Heartfelt Appreciation for my very good friend,Sagar Saab,who in fact cautioned me not to forget sending nominations after the first,for continuing to open this contest year after year.
Kumar and co,need special mention for their dedication .

Congrats to all the winners.
It was not easy to emerge victorious while most derbies saw fancied runners getting the bacon home. Hence chances of more people getting their choices right were high. Yet all four of you displayed grit.
It was indeed a thrilling finish and my heart goes out to Gayathri who had the race sewn up long way from home, only to be passed by electrifying stretch run by Altaf.
Atlaf you have shown great skills.

I would like to tell Major Sir I am his biggest fan (may Sirroco is close second) he doing the honours for this contest is a very heart warming gesture. You may not know, as soon as one of your write up is spotted, we share it among each other through whatapp.

I don't have words to describe your dedication towards these contests. I am not a fan of so many different contests, and wish all those who run it, SD tanning streamline it. As it will be easier to follow for us and also less work for you.
