We have finally come down to a race which is extremely important in this years calendar as 3-4 contenders from sundays race will go on the get nominated in this years running of the Sprinters Cup in Bangalore .
We have many good contenders running this year as usual and hope Mumbai has a huge part to play in the Sprinters cup as it has for the past 7-8 years .

The contenders to look forward to are as follows :

DANCING PRANCES : One of indias best sprinters . Is yet to win a Sprinters Cup and has lost few by narrow margins . He is many minds is a great and surely he is . But has this big horse lost what it takes to sprint as this level ? is his age catching up to him ? He has won 2 SC JAINS back to back last year and the year before can he make its 3 of 3 ? In my opinion he can . Couple of bad outings won't change the fact that this horse is built with class and has a Sprinters Cup to his name soon .

RENEE : This horse was not seen much in the major sprinting races . In the last few starts has stunned the field and run a few grand races and will be one to note as this horse is in top form and will take a lot of beating

DANCING PHOENIX : This according to me is Indias fastest horse clocking record time over a 1000m trip . He has been consistent throughout his carrier giving his fans and owners a lot to make them happy . He has won races in Mysore Hydrebad Bangalore romping home and thrashing his opponents . He had a poor run last time out because he bled and will look to show his class and come back to top form on Sunday

HOLY SMOKE : Had a few outings against sprinting opposition and has run a commendable race finishing 3rd in both his last outings . He is a horse who's shown consistency and will look to grab the spoils in this week major contest

Gold Bag : Another horse who looks to just fall short of class to beat this field but has shocked Prances in a sprint in Pune receiving weight . Ran poorly last time out but will be looking forward to retaining good form and run a good race

CONGRESSIONAL : He is a weird horse doesn't show much consistency and runs well and bad according to his wimps and fancies. If in good shape and gallops well should come very close to the winner of this years contest .

According to me its anyones race this year with obviously Dancing Prances Rennee and Holy Smoke standing out but don't rule out Dancing Phoenix and Congressional .
