A very nostalgic article by Cyrus Madan. I had the pleasure of viewing many. Cannot forget the race won by Sun Lion beating MAM favourite Aristocrat. It must be said that Jagdish misjudged the pace very badly and was in tears after te race. Bracketing in 1961 during the visit of the Queen is revelling. It should be brought back.

The most difficult race today.Both Azzuro and Triumphus may not win,as both are outhandicapped.

AZZURRO`S RECORD : In 23 outings he was never out of the frame, only once he was out of the first three, and only three times out of the first two. He won 9 times, placed second 11 times, placed third twice, and fourth once.

TRIUMPHUS is at least 2 Kg better off than AZZURRO on handicap, after their last clash in Rc#124, won by COLOMBIANA. So my vote goes to TRIUMPHUS.

Carrying 5kgs more than TRIUMPHUS which over 2800m might be a challenge. Thoughts on Million? CASTLEBRIDGE is being favoured heavily but Champagne stakes wasn't a fair reflection on the field I feel
