I hail from pune and hence i am more sentimentally attached to RWITC but when i come across such nice punter friendly news from other clubs i feel betrayed, sad, disappointed, embarrassed or jealous or whatever the word is that i cant find to express my feelings. What did RWITC do for punters during Derby weekend? Nothing... i wish for a miracle wherein some sensible, smart, shrewd person takes over RWITC and replaces the present greedy and outdated lot.

For the record BTC is announcing they will fine Rs 10000 if you carry mobile phones inside. Saddest part is they don't have any Mobile Deposit Rooms at the Gates. So each and every racegoers carry their mobile phones inside and also using them in open. Fortunately THERE IS NO CHECK INSIDE, SEIZE, FINE, OR CONFISCATION OF MOBILE PHONES. SO IN THAT FRONT, BTC IS ALREADY HELPING THE PUNTERS AND THEY ARE HAPPY.

Nice gesture on the part of BTC. They can also think of waiving mobile charges on Saturday and Sunday as a special case or can reduce to nominal amount.

Anyway at present what they get amount of telecast is a penut
If they can replace some junk tote machine to new one it is good and they can introduce fixed odds it will help punters the dividends and book operators odds are not matching with tote odds if they try to improve i think bookmakers arenotrequird

BTC's gesture needs to be appreciated,and as Raghavan suggests, the live telecast will earn them more goodwill.
The future is online, and Live-Streaming will be the norm,rather than the exception,as is the case now.

Adding brought forward amounts in JP and other pools will attract more puntrs.

Look at the prizes offered to public by Poonawalla Family yesterday at RWITC. Why cant they do it at other Clubs in India also? At least one two prizes they should have offered to racing public at other centers also that will only bring fame to the family and the races they are sponsoring. Other race Clubs in India should have persuaded Cyrus Poonawalla and Family to do it. This idea I am giving free to Poonawalla Family and experiment it in the coming years and see the response all over India.

Now coming this weekend BTC is offering several prizes to the racing public and participation is free. They should have seen this opportunity in a larger interest of the racing public across India by offering one or two prizes to the participating public at RWITC, HRC, MyRC, RCTC, MRC, DRC, ORC also. Such a gesture would get vast publicity, attract good crowd, maximum sales, everything is in the best interest of horseracing in India. Anyone at the helm has the guts to think over it?

I think it will very goof that whenever there is Derby or invitation events other clubs should add carried forward Jp to keep the high spirits in other clubs also.

Right. Sometimes, the Turf Club takes wise OR punter friendly decisions.

At BTC, there are two entry points. Charges were 20/- & 10. Doubled about a year back and as a concession, stopped charging for Mobile phone.

It is time BTC show similar courtesies to the punters about live streaming also. The good-will it gets by such move, more than compensates the small loss in revenue.
