FK VAKIL TROPHY DIV 1 -6-50PM
ALIEN - Comes better at weights than Sensex by 10.5 kgs vis a vis race 57
Arak - dark horse could be tried
Classicus - might win but i have discounted
Sensex - Last run was super where was leading from the 250m uptill the winning post -but has to cope up with the 10.5 kgs weight penalty from handicapper
plus same day Jetaway ran and clocked below 1.26 -so technically whether Alien is a jobber or not -Jetaway comes out better in hanciapping than Sensex
Pollyana distance wont be suitable
Furious & fast - retired at the bend [1200m ] depends if the filly hoodwinked the handicapper and will be tried - place chance
Royal classic -Tote fluke -cant play horses who just might sprout wings
Wild Jack -One for your consideration last run did not run in favourable distance -- good each way bet
Jetaway - 19th Jan2017 run was a blinder and comes out better in handicapping than Sensex .. still need to tackle 1-8-11 and flukes
Diwali Lights if odds comes below 4 to one -consider to play in win or place

4.45 #3 SABIQ was impressive winning this track and distance last start. Up in grade and can back it up in this field.
#4 ELEGANT BEAUTY made up plenty of ground to finish on placegetters heels last start. Steps up to this trip for the first time and if stays the distance she can be a big danger to the top pick.
5.10 #1 COLLEGIUM ran well to finish a suggestive fourth in Kunigal stud breeders stakes last time out. Needs not find much more from that run to take this out.
5.35 #4 LOGIC ran on well from a long way back on debut. Bound to have been improved by the experience and is one of the main chances.
6.00 Ignore his last run at mile trip #2 TORREZZO hit the line solidly to run into place getters heels last to last start. Drops in grade and identical distance and gets chance to win.
6.25 #1 VICTORIO can bounce back in the right grade. His win two back was strong inspite of breaking his blood vessel. Takes on the older horses and will roll forward and will be the hardest to beat in an even race.
6.50 #11 GLORIANA just missed the bus last start. Super fit and in with the claim, if she can land in the box seat she'll be tough to get past.
Eased in grade #2 ARAK looks to have a class edge on her opposition and if finds her form she can threaten. Don't discount.
7.15 #2 WHAT A NICE GIRL finished good second over the short sprint course here last start. Will relish the rise in distance to prove hard to hold out among her own age group. Rider repeats.
7.45 #9 POETS SONG strips fitter after finishing close up last start when resuming from a short break and has a good winning chance with positive switch in saddle.
Keep an eye on #10 MY BLESSINGS who is resuming after a lengthy lay off and if fully fit she can create a flutter at this feather weights.

1-3 SABIQ - Won over the same distance with timings of 2:03:79 and with ease. Easy to back again.
2-1 COLLEGIUM - I prefer the horse already experienced in the maiden field.
3-2 AEOLUS MAXIMUS - I have played this horse several times and many times E/W. Now is the time to back heavily. Cannot go wrong this time. Last run came from almost last to finish a good second. This is my DAYS BEST.
4-4 BRAZOS - By authorized, few good runs and last one was a decent one to prefer.
5-5 HIROHAMA - Coming after a long layoff. But was a decent one for sprint. Tracking well. Can score.
6-11 GLORIANA - A good second last time over the same distance. Decent chance.
7-2 WHAT A NICE GIRL - Sandesh and C Rajendra double.
8-9 POET SONG - By Poet Voice is coming to form. Don't ignore.

Whilst the card today seems straightforward a few surprises are lurking behind the scenes.
Race #1
Uncle Scrooge flattered to deceive the last time out and it could be blamed on the jockeys inexperience. Elegant Beauty could turn up a swell performance, its the extra distance which is the question mark. She needs to get first run into the last 2 furlongs else holding off both SABIQ & Eiger's Tiger would be a tough ask. Relentless Pursuit is on the upgrade and would relish the additional furlong. Mr CSJ is himself Mr Relentless these days so I vote for Relentless Pursuit as an each way play.
Race #2
Collegium, Mygrator and Manifold all have solid theories to take claim to this one.
Race #3
New England was a medium of a huge gamble which came a cropper due to the interferences he received. Trombone has come into her own as evidenced by her track. Logic, would have improved but he doesn't warrant favouritism, having said that, I will play Logic each way if the price is right.
Race #4
Brazos will have to raise his game to tackle Firenze.
Race #6
Its a wide open race.
Race #7
Whatanicegirl should be able to get her head across this time in this weak set. Sandesh is moody these days and for her backers lets hope he has the requisite fire in his belly. BUT, she has also shown her limitations over the 6 furlongs and for that and that reason, being hungry is the best punt.
Race #8
Whoever intends to win this race has to get the better of Motherland. There are quite a few !

6th – With many class demotion horses in bunch, I feel the race should be for same class runner and (11) Gloriana if shows the same zeal as in last run should be an easy winner, but has to tackle the gambling stables (1) Alien who runs well in night races
