At last we are here to test our true skills in picking from a minefield of 16 races framed for this weekend. One thing is sure if anyone is able to pick winners from 1/3 of the races framed will be a happy man. For less adventurous people my advice would be to go for place betting as tricky card awaits us this weekend and the mere numbers of the field us daunting.

1.30 #2 D'ACCORD is racing soundly since resuming but finding it hard to win, she just missed when favourite at Mumbai over this distance last start and gets a chance to make amends.
2.00 #4 NINON ran on well here last start, she is improving and drops in grade and with S. John to ride may be suited by this distance.
2.30 Some promising horses engaged here but going with #1 AUTOMATIC who looks suited out to this distance after a solid showing on debut and with Suraj aboard he will be hard to run down from the good gate.
Well prepared #7 PREVALENT FORCE is bred to have some talent and must be kept safe at its first start.
3.10 Sparingly raced #8 ARVAK comes off a nice run in a sprinters trial stakes when ridden quiet last start while resuming back from a spell. Fitter here and he should be hard to hold out.
3.50 #2 SIX DEGREES has been a bit expensive for punters but she may be suited by this distance and if ridden quiet she'll be launching at them late.
#6 DEL FERRO is on debut but is sharp in trials and could go close if he repeats his nice mock race effort.
4.30 #8 CAPTAIN MORGAN is a promising staying youngster that's come back in good shape. He'll only keep improving as he steps up in trip and looks well placed.
#6 ARLENE is bred to stay and with the Shroff polish you would expect her to get there eventually. Don't discount.
5.15 Perhaps the toughest race of the day with most of them having winning chances of varying degrees. On current form #4 DENNY CRANE is the top pick but it's hard to be too confident in such a tricky race. 1200m specialist #7 MULTITUDE has never lost at this trip and has been racing solidly enough to be included in chances.
6.00 #10 ZUBAIDA went close last start to show she has cycled back into peak form. She looks the best of the on pace chances, obviously the confidence will increase if she can get across to the rails first.

3rd Race .. Limousine is a good place bet. In Hyderabad it came up with a terrific run of burst. The additional 200 mtrs will do a world of good.
In last Race no one knows the absence of ZUBAIDA in 2016. Present track shows all is fine. Good place bet at good odds.

So, the Invitation Weekend begins....
In Stayers Cup, Captain Morgan appears to have a clear edge over the others. The ones who could fight with him are the evergreen Tintinnabulation and the ever-consistent Booker Jones....
The Sprinters Cup is a more open affair. Dancing Prances has always found one better in this race. So, I'm going with my favourite Renee. I had fancied Renee in The SC Jain Sprinters Championship, but she was unlucky not to get an opening in the straight despite being full of running. If Renee reproduces that run today and the luck of the race does not go against he, then she should be crowned the champion sprinter later today....

Its a minefield this weekend so please tread cautiously ! Drop down your unit bets to a tenth and you will enjoy punting on long shots !
Race #1
D'ACCORD has the best credentials here to be the favourite but she is a 5 year old MAIDEN - which means she has her issues and shouldn't be relied upon ! Just Fabulous and Real Generous (mysteriously dropped the rider when favourite) are good place prospects. The pumped up Hurrah can be interesting as well. There could be another lurking around sow watch out for the betting and follow the lead.
Race #3
There are 9 horses here that can stake claim to this Million but since Pesi has brought one of his here it will take a very special specimen to beat DAFFODILS. (Best bet of the weekend !)
Race #5
After 4 workouts post winning relatively unfancied, Ravishing Snow would have stripped much much much fitter. Yet, a bad draw and also having to compete with High Admiral & Sterling Role it won't be easy. Play RS only if HUNGRY !
