It's a first of sorts. The digitized horse racing.
With bookies warned off from BTC , the public will be treated to the totalizator system exclusively. All credit to BTC for this bold step. Requesting Mysore race club to follow suit, and by the time GST rolls in , Karnataka should be a bookie mukt rajya!!!

There are 3 losers in this game here in BNG.
The punters have no option but to play on tote.some times returns very poor.
The club losing money on stall fees.
The state govt on reduced taxes collection.
If raghavan is willing to accept this .nothing more. It is the BNG punters who are the real losers

@ Stop fooling punter,
So, there is a hefty loss to the State Govt, club because of the free run the illegal bookies enjoy.
I have condemned the bookies and their 10% betting business. In the sharpest language. Both in this site as well as in the other one. But saw not even one paisa improvement at the ring and then stopped talking about that.
But, a sledge hammer blow from Central Government on Nov 8th, floored all the bookies. And, for the 1st time was happy to see no occupants in the stalls. Belying my doubt that this no bookie environment is for a limited period, the BTC for almost 4 months have not allowed the bookies to resume.
Initial days after demonetisation, there were no occupants in the stall. Now, there is not even empty stall. So more than satisfied.
Anyway, regarding the ex-bookies operating from their premises OR about 1/2 a dozen persons taking bets at half tax etc, I know it can not be stopped. At least not in my hands.
Take the example of betting on cricket. No one can even make a rough guess the volume of turn over on that sport all over India. We all know that it is illegal. But can you, me stop that.
On that reasoning, I said chaltha hai. You seem to be more outraged at illegal bookies having a free run even now. Well. Good luck to you. Continue with that mindset. Do not soften your stand and commitment. Somehow see that even these new recruit bookies are thrown out of the race course.

Raghavan you remind me of an ostrich with his head buried in the sand.
You do not seem to realise the loss the state Govt [in taxes] and the club in incurring in stall fees. The bookies over head are cut drastically
The bookies are laughing all the way to the bank thanks to die hards like you.
it seems they [BTC] is not realising one thing what the public wants. If the pubic stops betting with them ,they are gone but are the BNGIans [san Raghavan ]are doing it?
A big no .So once agian a small punter suffers as he has no choice.

Why go to hotel nearby?
Bookies inside the Ring still accepting bets. 10% tax.

@Abbas J,
Illegal bookies?
Not only outside race course, but some people take such bets inside the race course also. We can not stop them. And the club vigilance officers are in deep slumber.
At least, we are not seeing bookies devouring huge cash pile from punters. That much a healthy development.
So for tote bettors, counters are there. For illegal bookies their own premises either owned or rented is there. Let the invitation mela go on successfully.

Bookies still taking illegal betting for BTC races in Bangalore near race course hotels. All big punter's are betting there. Some Hyderabad bookies also taking illegal betting over there. If you know the bookies or agent they are taking illegal betting.
Anyway good luck everyone.
