Agreed ,I was reckless and made mistakes.Some of them were:
Invitation day races were competitive because every trainer,owner wanted to win and be seen, therefore, most of the races were won on merit and handicapping prevailed. That was not the case with Mumbai racing - it was a routine day, where merit takes a back seat often.
Secondly, I became overconfident and went against my speed numbers and also ignored few warning signals available in the public domain.
My betting range had been 1000-5000, very rarely 10,000 -'out of my pocket', that is 'my money'. Winnings I don't consider under this head, that is why I could bet 16,600 on Temerity which was from winnings only.
Moreover,if you recall my Invitation day betting, after winning Bold March(Rs.83) I did not go for Serjeant At Arms(RS.14)- the hot favorite but went on Shivalik Shower who was paying Rs. 40 for a tenner.
At Mumbai, we don't bet at tote, because it pays peanuts and if you bet 20,000 it will be money back!More than few hundrd I always bet with bookies.
However,I paid the price for overconfidence and ignoring the warning signs...

I agree with BKD.End of the season very risky to play this huge amount.Lot of parameters have to be taken at the end of the season card apart from the horse merit.Some races we can see small time owners, trainers, winless jockeys have some share in the races.Swaps if he looses 90k in one day that doesnt mean lack of knowledge in racing.Nobody is a winner .Iam also a looser in races but I make sure that the losses are kept minimal and within my limits.I can never imagine to play 30k in one horse even if Iam having 1crore in my pocket.In horse racing I always see as a recurring deposit,in my case.Maximum limit of my betting will be 3k to 4k in a day.Ten days if I loose and on 11th day if i get my half amount thats alwyays happening to me,I can use that amount for some domestic purposes.You may say if you dont go for racing for ten days you will be richer by 30k.But Iam unable to save that 3k everyday.So if I get back i5k at the end of 11th day Iam happy.
Chankya sir on invitation day he was having seven winners but didnt play all.He began with 1k ended up in profit and he also knows that every race day he cant make money.If he had posted his selections much before so many htians might have written about the negative chances of the said horses.He could have reduced his bet.Anyhow I like his daredevilry in betting.

Despite a spectacular beginning, you seem to have lost control of your emotions and have become rather reckless...a tell tale sign of gambling immaturity!
At your age(70+??)...this was the least expected.
End result(in most cases) is that you are nearly back to square A!
While you had mentioned in the other thread, that your normal betting ranges between Rs 1000 to 5000...then why this sudden rush of adrenaline?
Wagering 90,000 in a day on the tote must have been your biggest splurge ever!
Relax..A BAD DAY IN THE OFFICE IS NOT THE END OF THIS WORLD!
Hold on to your gains and bet only when you are 90% confident whilst restricting individual/roll bets, within your affordable limits!
Hope you take my advice in the right spirit and desist from such unnecessary bravado in future.

4.45 #3 GLORIOSUS hit the line solidly finishing leisurely into placing last start. Extra distance ideal and gets chance to win.
5.10 #8 ETERNAL SUNSHINE is racing honestly but struggling to break through. She will be better suited in a race like this and should be fitter for her second up run.Can bounce back with the blinkers on.
#3 NIFTY was a strong winner first-up from a long spell and looks capable of measuring up in this tougher assignment. Can't knock winning form.
5.35 #7 LADY SERGEANT ran well last start in the rich multi-million 3YO race. Needs not find much more from that run to take this out. Strong fancy.
6.00 #3 NELSONS BLOOD stumbled at the start and also the bridle has shifted when came from well back to finish on at latest attempt as a hot favourite. Deserves another chance for his earlier good second to Star Of Harmony.
6.25 #7 RICARDUS led early before finishing in the placings last out. He looks suited by the step down in distance and is the one to beat from ideal barrier draw.
6.50 #3 TOUGH ENOUGH appreciated the rise in distance to break through last time out on resumption. Up in grade and in another suitable race he can repeat the dose.
Include #2 SEACRETS in what looks a winnable race. Appeals on handicap.
7.15 Ignore her last few starts over unidentical distance including her effort in Indian 1000 Guinness. #9 SPARKLING EYES Will relish the drop in distance to prove hard to hold out with 2.5 kg claim. Value bet.
7.45 #2 HIGHLAND BREEZE takes a step down in grade after running in the higher level last time and gets in well at the weights after the claim.

Race #1
A slow pace would work in favour of Gloriosus and a hot pace in favour of We Break The Rules. As per the current performances, there is a distinct 5-6 lengths advantage in favour of Gloriosus and he should be the deserving favourite. It will be interesting to see as to how Suraj circumvents the shortfalls and emerges as the winner - we all know that he is capable.
Race #2
This is the most competitive event on the Card today where 7 of the 8 can stake claim to the winner's enclosure.
Personally, I will pay weightage to near form rather than potential in this one and probably play a recent winner in PLACE.
Race #3
Whilst this looks like an easy race for Lady Sergeant, it could get complicated at the finish. More than a few contending. With S3's main weapons indisposed I think it would be advisable to PLAY LS only if HUNGRY.
Race #4
PHUNNY RACE THIS IS. Nelson's Blood has been a piping hot favourite on two occasions on both starts he had Trevor. Trevor, has opted for Drogo which speaks volumes of his chances. One can't help but notice that Drogo's owner's retained jockey J.Chinoy who has ridden Drogo on most occasions is now riding NB. Truly strange !!!
In the principle of fair racing, my nominee would be NB as the days certainty.

Atleast 3 races today are between the first and second fav .How ever to me the 6th race promises to be the most challenging.
Zoom Zoom 8yr old time 1.13.40
Seacretes 1.13 .35
Tough enough [15 point jump] 1.13.55
Grand vitesses 1.13 .25[change over from an app to full jockey]
Samurai [same stable as Zoom Zoom] 1.13 .25.but from a lower class
As you can see evenly matched and any one of them can win.
My choice Grand Vitesses each way[unless a fav.never back J chenoys favs win only once in a time]
