Thanks to all the participants. The par score for this contest assuming 13 % tote deduction for win place, and shp and 45% tote deduction for Forecast, Tanala , and Exacta is worked out as 222000*0.87 + 88000*0.55 = 241540 so all those with scores exceeding 241540 points deserve commendation. Apart from the Top six named in Skumar`s posting of .. there are quite a few more who are in this category.

Heartiest congratulations to Mr. Perfect for being the winner of the contest. Predicting the winner of all four races correctly is like cracking a mini jackpot of about Rs 9200 with a single ticket, as worked out below:

Assumming 10000 tickets of Rs 10 each, the total collection is 100,000.00 and amount paid out ( assuming 45% deduction is 55000.00
Number of successful tickets on Captain Morgan = 10000 * (1 -0 .13)* 10/26 = 3346
Number of successful tickets on Adam = 3346*0.87*10/315 = 92.4 tickets say 93 tickets
Number of successful tickets on Seargant at Arms = 93*0.87*10/14 = 57.8 say 58 tickets.
And number of successful tickets on Temerity = 58*0.87*10/79 = 6.4 tickets say 6 tickets
Hence dividend = 55000/6 = 9166 say Rs 9200 .00
