Yes there is some goof up in expressing my view point. In fact, I meant only 30-35% punters are winners in each race on an average basis. Rest are losing. It can be 10% of punters sometime (long shots), 50% another time (favourites). Overall, not more than 35% punters get their investment back. Maximum punters are losing, whether their bet is with bookies or on Tote. Actually my point was connections find it easy to LAY the favourite rather than PLAY. That is the reason around 65% of favourites fail.

How can you allege that the RC's pay out only 30-35% on an average?

It seems that you are rather ignorant about the concept of pool betting and the mode of disbursement thereof.

Please go through the totalisator betting rules of any club's website before making such misleading statements.

In all centers like it is always like that, at majority of races, merit take a back stage because of the huge money poured on to the favourite, connections find it easy to LAY the favourite rather than PLAY. After all, in this type of gambling business, out of the money collected from punters by bookmakers and race clubs, only 30-35% is disbursed back to the punters on an average basis. That is the reason punters are always losers.

What is the use of posting selections when riders like PS Chouhan fool the punters by going off board on favourite.

Delhi racing has become worse than Ooty and Chennai, I am not saying it was good at any time, but some trusted trainers and jockeys used to finish on board at least
