Although pedigree gives some vision about the horse but most important factor is the Stable and Trainer provides an opportunity to excel in the field. Finally Jockey also gives his finishing touch. Simply by pedigree blindly following does not appears to be correct. Finally Stable-Trainer-Jockey plays major role than in the career of a horse. That is why we find many winners are coming from a few prominent stable. They all work for Winning the race rather than just gambling but others make money by losing or making their horses as false favorites.

Best regards to all

Mr Ramiyer,

This is no 'pre-poll' like prediction. But am I not right to say that all horses born to good bloodline do not run like that. You must agree with me as I have hundreds of instances to cite. Let Quasar's first foul prove better, I will also feel happy. But it is very unlikely, and most of the eagle-eyed, fox-minded bookies are just waiting for such races. Of course, pedigree has a say, but not all of them really live up to the expectations. This is the point I wish to stress. That's all!

Dear Smart still poor .
Syed has just shared the news of Quasars foal.He didnt predict its carrier. But you have given verdict before the race unfolds.Remember Pedigree is one of the most important factor in racing. There may be failures in siblings etc all. Latest Example.Serjant at arms, didnt stay the distance at Indian derby,Skipped the Invitation, annexed th super mile cup.
Thanks Syed and Indian turf record for the information.

@ Mad Max

The expressions "First foal of Quasar is out of Quizical", "Excellent Art had 80 foals in his first crop in India", etc. are technically correct.

@ Mad Max

Both, Quasar's first foal or Quizical's first foal is technically and grammatically correct. It is certain that it is the first foal of Quizical and I am sure Syed's One is correct about it being Quasar's first. (Foalings of 2017 have not yet been published).

"Excellent Art had 80 foals in his first crop in India" is a very common -- and correct -- expression.

Technically what "Syed's One" said "Quasar's First Foal" is correct or not..? Instead should we say Quasar's first progeny, or QUIZICAL's foal..? Please correct me !

Hi Syed's One,

There are hundreds of punters like you who blindly go by pedigree in selecting a horse. Like we say a policeman's son need not necessarily become a policeman, let's also be prepared for the worst if Quasar's foul fails to turn a similar foot.
If pedigree is what going to decide the ability of all horses, then today we must be only seeing fouls of greats like Elusive Pimpernel, Bugs Bunny, Saddle Up, Astronomic and their likes. But is that what we get to see?
My humbly request to punters is not to totally rely on breed because there have been umpteen cases where bloodline has failed to establish itself. What I mean to say is there are many other vital factors, along with pedigree, that goes to decide the running of a horse.
I know there may still be a sizable section of race-goers not willing to agree with me. Now, let's wait and see what Quasar's first foul has in store!!
