Another day, and another farce enacted in the stewards room; honestly speaking, for how long will they take us punters for granted?
I'm referring to the 4th race held today. Master Sergeant won fair and square, and having bet on the horse I was obviously elated, but I had my doubts if I'd be able to encash my winnings, and that was because I wasn't oblivious of the fact that Master Sergeant had drifted to quite an extent at the finish.
I did notice that the drift didn't really hamper any of the two horses on the outside, but I was wary of the fact that Trevor was on one of them.
So, stewards move into the farcical zone, and as usual, go through the motions. All of them, except for one opine that it was careless riding, and that the result wouldn't have been any different if the horse had not drifted, and they were absolutely bang on. There wasn't a fraction of a second where it seemed like Trevor's horse was checked or had to change course, he kept moving as if nothing ever came in front of him because Master Sergeant was almost a length ahead of him when he crossed him.
Ideally, I should have been happy that the verdict would favour me after what I heard from the live proceedings, but I know the way of working of these stewards.
Verdict announced, objection upheld.
Wow, the stewards have once again proved that nothing can come in the way of their interests.
I wonder if the verdict would have been the same if the jockeys were swapped, in fact, jockey Amit might have been reprimanded for a frivolous objection, but in this case it was the blue eyed boy of the stewards who was raising the objection.
I don't know if any of the stewards bother to visit this forum, but if they do I'd like to request them to refrain from telecasting these objection related proceedings because it's just mockery, nothing else. It's like, we'll do things brazenly, is there anything you as a punter can do to stop us? And sadly, the answer is no. I walked off in disgust after that race, but I know I'll forget this incident over the next few days, and that's exactly what these ******* are capitalizing on.

Cribbing is the naval slang for cheating in an exam and getting away with it like only a true champion does. You are fit for it. Everyone has his own opinion, it need not be true or false, in an open discussion forum like HT, one's vies and opinions posted from his experience.
It would be silly to insist your Vanila is better than larry or mad max's Chocolate. The stewards stuck to their opinions first. Our outlook and reading of the race is different and implicitly chosen the opposite. Any discussion on such a topic is is argued and explained in politely.
You must have heard the expression ‘everyone is entitled to their opinion, being used to head off an argument or bring one to a close, but it is no longer true. You are not entitled to your opinion. You are only entitled to what you can argue for. You cannot insult others and their arguments.
You are forgetting that you written long stories about Be Safe before the Invitation Cup. When Quasar beaten it, to thrash the Narredus you used this Forum and send lengthy justification statements. You continued this saga whenever Be Safe ran thereafter. You should recall that NO ONE in HT blamed you are talking thru your wallets.

im surprised by a lot of friends comments commenting the stewards
i feel it was rightly upheld...please see the top screen where it clearly seen that master sargeant breaks star scholars stride.... which rightly is upheld by stewards
im also surprised some stewards said accidental but overruled
all are accidental .... no jockey do it intentionally

In such situations there will always be two schools of thoughts.Even the stewards were divided. So your comment of people speaking thro' wallets is just a popular dialogue reiterated. Punters don't go to races for charity & everyone feels hurt when a rough decision is thrown at them & for no fault they lose hard earned money.
Let them at least react & get some solace by expressing here. Don't preach them about honesty of stewards of RWITC.

As per rules till 110 meters no horse should change the cource for safty of all .
after objection it has to be over-ruled but ... penalty for braking rule to concern Jocky is should be concluded for a fine of , suspension for 1/2 day.

You and a few others are speaking through your wallets and not your minds. Please see the race carefully. The Objection was rightfully upheld.Star Scholar was full of running and the fastest moving and came very close to MS. He received a severe check at this point had to stop riding and that cost him the race. Had he not been interfered with, he would have won by a length. It was purely the jockey's mistake on MS. He whipped with his right hand and when he saw the horse drifting out he whipped again with the same hand. This is what Trevor explained in the steward's room. Jockey S A Amit had enough time to change the whip and correct his mount, but he dint do so.
I left the race and bet on nothing, so for me it des not matter, but the objection was righ fully upheld.

Hi Guys,
Its not about the other horse winning or loosing. It was the mistake of the apprentice to cut the horse in the last 20-30m and thereby TP had to check his mount.
I feel its a good and a correct decision by the stewards.

With due respect to you larry please see the video, Trevor had to leave the reigns and bend backwards to avoid collision. I too played 7 win but the slow motion replay made me tell everyone near me that objection is there, and alas there was an objection, and I told objection will be upheld. It was correct decision by the Stewards.

I have noticed P.Trevor fully ridden out Star Scholar in its previous run against Forest Fire, where he lost to the later. The way he ridden in that race reminds me the rider wanted to win it any way. Being that case he lost on that occasion, this time he enacted the drama in his own way. Why the stewards ignore the fact that the winner was handled by an apprentice, and the horse got a mild check was ridden by the champion of many many wins? It looks like the officials money was on Star Scholar, not on poor Vinesh's horse.

Although I had no bet on either of the horses concerned, I too was hugely surprised that the objection was UPHELD. I just recalled the stewards' lopsided approach when a year back they did came to rescue KHAIYYAM & upheld a frivolous objection by the blue eyed boy, P.Trevor & displaced B FIFTY TWO( who won yesterday in a terms race) as a winner.
There is no doubt that SA Amit used the whip in right hand & crossed STAR SCHOLAR,who was slightly hampered.But then MS drew away from SS very easily & was running away from him. In short SS would've never beaten MS & that should've been the crux of the whole issue. But the stewards felt it easy to crown P.Trevor with another race, in his favour.
Anyway,you shouldn't have left as the boy had a good mount in MIZZILA GOLD & I was sure he would come trumps. You should've waited patiently & [layed MG to have some solace. To get upset is fine but not at the cost of being a bad loser, as stewards will behave likewise as & when P.Trevor is there.P.Shroff was too a expert in raising frivolous objections on technical grounds as a jockey & used to get few good returns & P.Trevor is aping him.

On Dec.15 2015 smae thing happened to B52 it won and lost to same Travor.
After this B52 went on winning and Khayyam didnot win.

purely on technical grounds the objection was upheld...no one could have done anything even if they wanted to.they purely went on with rule book,yes i agree the winner was the better of the 2.

Hi Larry,
I myself played a good amount on MS, and was quite baffled with the stewards' decision.
2 observations :
1) Star Scholar did change course, to go from outside to inside, due to MS drifting.
2) Regardless of MS's drifting, it was striding clear of SS and in fact getting stronger, and there is no way SS could have caught it even if it hadn't change course.
IMHO, an extremely poor decision by the stewards, I would not be surprised if vested interests were at play !
However, karma has its own role to play (LOL !), I got 3 times more than the pay out I would have got on MS, by playing Rosella in the last race, each way - it paid a whopping 515 for SHP and 132 for place, in Bangalore !

My bet was place only on this horse. So technically not effected by the verdict.
S.A.A did drift but see the video no way it effected the run of SC. was was nearer the rails and had a clear run to the win post.
All the stewards have given their mounts rides to trevor.Porr Amit has no god father .
Once again RWITC keeps sinking lower and Lower.Racing norms were thrown to the winds .
