I too have to encash my tickets...
I have 5 tickets to b encashed...So I have time to encash it on next meet of Ooty n bang rit...As my tickets r of 7th this month...

Is the rule about the validity of the payment restricted to eight days printed anywhere in the ticket ? If not,( I am not sure about it,) surely he can claim the same citing this as the reason .
In any case, appealing to the highest authority,as others have suggested,can also bear fruit,at least on compassionate grounds.

So some people at HYD have pleasant flash back about getting the due amount even after the time limit. That may be a decision by the racing management. As far as rules are concerned, I do not see there is any big difference between the BTC & HRC. At HRC if the last day as per totalizator rules happens to be a non betting day, then the payment will be made on next betting day.
The rule is reproduced verbatim:
General Totalizator rules:
22. The unredeemed tickets which have not been presented for payment in the next 7 days from the date of purchase will not be paid. However if the last day for such payment happens to be a non betting day, such unredeemed tickets will be paid on the next betting day.
At BNG tickets can be cashed on non betting days also. The counter will remain open for 2 hours till noon.

if online is introduced such thing may not happen i think in chennai u have to encash the next day by noon once in a bluemoon we win best of luck you get money

Tehnically the club is right but
I feel if you put an personal application to the chairmna of the club as a request,it is worth a try..It is too small an amount for them to reject it.

I faced a similar problem at Hyd, two months back.
After more than 15 day's, I approached the club's office with the help of a friend working at the club. He took me to the officer in charge, and there I had to write a short letter explaining the circumstances and entering the ticket number and amount. The official accepted the letter and asked me to come and collect the cash after a week's time. I got back my cash. It's as simple as that for everybody.
I hope you too receive your amount.

in hyderabad we can encash it even after 3 months
it should be the same in every centre
i recently encashed december ticket .

They have the discretionary powers. I have myself collected after said period, explaining my valid reason for inability to cash the same before, They were lenient and allowed the same.

Even on 5th May you were not able to encash the tickets. As per the rule you have to encash it at least on 8th day from the purchase of the ticket, so your time ended on 4th May. Earlier it was 21 days. These 21 days was more than sufficient for few people to gather information from inside on unpaid tickets and they made duplicate and encashed it. The RWITC opened their eyes first upon receipt of complaints from original ticket holders. Since then they made it compulsory to encash the tickets within 8 days from the date of purchase of the ticket. Same rules applied in BTC also. So I don't find any favour from BTC. After all these clubs maintain unfriendly attitude towards punters.

Real pity Bhambre jee. It is doubtful whether you can collect 45k from the Club. But, do not just give up. Make a last effort. That is write to the new Chief, explaining why it was not possible for you to take cash within the admissible period.
Rules are there. And, the said rules are not helpful to you now. But, I think, the management has the discretionary powers to take a lenient view. Please understand that I am only assuming that the management has powers in this regard. I am not sure. However, if they also express their inability and wash off their hands, then that is a huge huge loss to you.

If you donot encash the tote ticket on the seventh day you have lost it. The whole money credited to a fund or funds os charity.
