Karnataka Juvenile Million

By Golden Allure | 18-May-2017
KARNATAKA JUVENILE MILLION (GR 2)

No 1 #Silver Ikon -Improved a lot from its second run and the way it beat the much hyped good type Malawi being eased up shows a lot of class in the gelding, the worry here is the extra 200 MTS it has to travel and the running pattern suggests it likes to run forward race and it can hamper its chances but cannot be ignored with Ys Srinth up tracking well

NO 2 #TUTANKAMUN -
He is a very talented horse from S Narredu yard ridden by The Champ Suraj ,in its first won without a sweat ,2nd run in Mumbai won easily and in PBMM interfered and was seen finishing full of steam ,So has a Great chance here in the tough bunch its trackwork suggests it has improved a lot

NO 3 # Capo Di Capi -From the stables of Irfan Ghatala where in its first run beat the likes of Lady Barrington and some other good types, will run a big race ,also tracking well

NO 4 #Mauritania - Another good type Colt ,in its first run interfered ,2nd run won in taking style ,will run a good race

No5 # Glittering Gold - Won maiden race in good style ,needs more time to beat this field

Note :All the horses in this race has very good pedigree
Final Verdict :Silver Ikon may be caught at 150 MTS because of its front running style by Capo Do Capi and Tutankamun but Tutankamun may overhaul all in the last few MTS winning this race ,For the betting people it is a very good bet as the odds will also be decent above 1.5 .ALL THE BEST

The views are my personal and no one should follow it blindly without their own study or belief, and if there are any corrections you all are welcome to correct me with valid reasons

@ Hi All,
I posted my selections On : 5/19/2017 5:52:28 AM, now I think it was a hasty decision, hence I need to change my opinion POST DECLARATION.

CDC has undergone some corrective measures in shoeing after his last win. Now he is sporting HIGH HEELS on his RIGHT FORE LEG whereas it won earlier without any High Heels. There is no update available whether CDC in the so called Mock Race sported HIGH HEELS or not. IF THE MOCK RACE WAS WITH HIGH HEELS, HE IS THE MAIN CONTENDER, OTHERWISE TUTANKAMUN will win.

Certain things are not in our disposal. Hence it is wise to change the selection to TUTANKAMUN.

@ Stop Fooling Punter

I am posting here because you addressed a query to me. However, Mad Max has already given correct facts. Adding to that:-

Serious Spender[USA] (Seattle Slew - Squander by Buckpasser)was a dual Gr.3 winner in U.S.A. who was imported in 1997 and started his stud career at Kunigal Stud. He was then property of U.R.B.B. Ltd. and Exhilaration Stud. He later became the sole property of Exhilaration Stud and moved to that stud. His next move was to Yeravada Stud and then he returned to Kunigal Stud when Admiralofthefleet had breeding problems.

He has had a little over 200 named foals in India from which he has produced about 125 winners including four Gr.1 winners. Capo di Capi is from his 2014 crop which had nine foals. His 2015 crop had only one foal. He had no foals in 2016 and he covered no mares that year. According to last published records he is still at Kunigal Stud. He is now 26 years old if still alive. Admin may like to confirm that.

Verdict hangs on todays performance of Shaman which finished second to Mauritania by 6 lengths,is facing a moderate bunch a minimum 4 lengths victory will enhance chances of Mauritania.
Tutankamun drawn outer in hits last two runs were outstanding and whipped two times to correct the drift apromising youngster and best bet of the day .
Capo di capi very difficult to catch the above two tails as in his only run he was whipped under pressure to score, It needs time and more distance.
My final pick.
TUTANKAMN
MAURITANIA.
3rd place any body.

@ Cape Dance

Serious Spender is not a Dam, he is a Sire foaled in 1991 standing at Kunigal Stud Farm.

@ Srinivasan
I dont think there was any Serious Spender in the 1980s. Serious Spender sired Capo De Capi and the sire is much active.

@ Doubting Thomases
There are other Serious Spenders alive

1. Serious Spender (IRE) 2009 Horse
2. Serious Spender (ZIM) 1998 Mare by Linney Head
3. Serious Spender (AUS) 1998 Mare by Magic Of Money
4. Serious Spender (USA) 1991 Horse by Seattle Slew

And the fourth one is standing in the Kunigal Stud.

@ Santoshkumarvk
You are right the details are correct. few more....siblings
El Campander, Affability, Star of Gaiety, Colour Rouge, Alegria, Slim Twist, Sieze the Knight, Cesandri, Colarato, Megilla, Capo De Capi (the horse in question).

There has been only one serious spender standing as a stallion at Kunigal stud,
CAPO DI Capi is from its last crop.

@ Cape Dance

In 1980's I have seen horses bred with Serious Spender, but that horse is dead and this is a new Stalion with same name and there is no doubt about it.

Even I was fooled on that day thinking the above.

Clarification on Dam Serious Spender. From IR records it states it was foaled in 1991. I remember only a few ordinary horses sired by this Dam and most of them were speedy and I don;t think so any horse reached Class I. Suddenly quite a few of these foals are seen a trainer Irfan Ghatala has them. Is this the same Serious Spender or is it a gotabord with recent faols 3 or 4 years back.

See the latest Mock Race of Capo Do Capi.
No one will touch its tail.
One horse race. Season's certainty.
Good luck to all.
