2 race days in mysore 1st was dominated by Michael Eshwar. Looking at the 2nd race day it seems like This trainer will dominate the card today as well..

Bangalore races are a distant dream,everybody is struggling to keep the points in their pocket,you could have added Mysore also because both centre are from the same circuit and both their season started at the same time.It would have been a real challenge to pick winner in old horses.

2nd – Looks very open, where (6) Cool dude or (10) Sazae san can clear the maiden ranks, or else (9) Catwalk queen can upset

3rd – based on the recent track (5) Golden Cruise should win, but note both (3) Durer & (11) Iroko to give stiff fight

4th – (2) Alecia should get this from either (12) Sancy or (7) Ephialties, note (8) Zoe for place

5th – on age and recent form of jockey/trainer/stable, (1) Wolf looks unbeatable, but expect a coup from (10) Veni Vidi Vici, who can upset if tried, the last start winner (5) Platinum pearl is negative in shoes after winning

6th – the impressive last start winner (3) Star Atrium to fight it out with (1) Nikka

7th – (6) Poet, looks good to score, but both (4) Flying show & the last start impressive winner (7) Ali Boxer, can pose threat to it

Here are My SELECTIONS for MYSURU Races of 31st May'17.....Day-2


Race 1 Win#5-SATURN
Prepared in the company of Tigris (3Ls arrears-mock race) who in turn, was a distance winner in the opening week. By that token, Saturn should also make a winning debut.


Race 2 Win#10-SAZAE SAN
In her last run (1600 mtr), she was a failed favourite to KODALS PRINCESS, also a contender today. Prior to that, she had been leading upto 1400 metres, before giving up, to finish second. Today, traversing that same distance of 1400m...she should be able to make amends under the guidance of the 4Kg apprentice jockey, I reckon.
If you still don't feel confident of her prowess and further unable to assess her current fitness, in absence of any trackwork, hedge with a Place bet.


Race 3 Win#1-ICE SPRINT
A notable 2nd to Zoe, a couple of months ago in the upper class, seems to me the most promising aspirant in this field. Prepared consistently on the tracks, a win is on the cards, given a positive jockey switch. However, do not be cowed down by the top weight, she has been assigned to carry.


Race 4 Win#1-TRUST ME BOY
His last win was 7 months ago in the same class, distance, and with the same jockey that he has been entered to run in today. If you were to therefore ignore his interim(unimpressive) runs in the higher class; he should now be trusted to deliver, in this rather mediocre set up.


Race 5 Win#1-THE WOLF
Planted and yet had finished a dazzling 4th in a field of ten, in the higher class, should certainly make amends now. This might also be trainer Eshwer's double with Saturn in Rc#1. Good bet!


Race 6 Win#2-SARDINIA
Had won in a close finish over the same trip in the higher class; should be victorios once again having been pitched in the lower category. Barring a sudden reversal of form, which is quite unlikely, looking at her impressive trackwork, she should simply romp home.....a treble for Eshwer!!

Race 7 Win#1-EXCELERATE
Another Eshwer trainee; can he emulate his 'quadruple' feat of the previous week? In which case I'd guess, he stands as good a chance as any, upon demotion. Has only to beat POET, his stablemate.


Race 8 Win#1-FJORD
A FIFTH one for the asking for M Eshwer? Yes, a distinct possibility in Mysuru..gentlemen!
Well, considering her track-record and the batch that she has been pitted against, you don't have to look beyond her.....of course, presuming that she has been able to get over her 'bleeding' problem.
