An EXTREMELY close finish expected with KINGS KID, since both are tracking very impressively. However, I give the edge to ED due to the in-form jockey astride, in preference to T Jodha, who will be seen on the saddle for the first time this season, recuperating from an injury sustained after a fall.

Race 2 Win#6-MIDNIGHT SKY
Won easily over 1400mts by 4ls+ in her last start; since been promoted.
Retains winning form; should defy the handicap penalty and score again with the same apprentice (Bunde) aboard.

Race 3 Win#12-QUEENOFGOODTIMES
Smashed the field by over 6Ls in her last start, despite drifting out and that too with a bluemoon jockey. Even after promotion but with a more reliable apprentice, is most probably heading for an encore.

It would however be interesting, to watch INTERESTING, Suraj up, performing in this batch, after a gap of nearly 3 months.
In fact, there are several other contenders in this race and winner spotting (JP Leg-1) might not be that easy. I have chosen 5 horses in the first leg.

2 – Wonder woman – knocking the doors, can ignore the last run, may upset
3 – Kings Kid – earlier winner at identical distance, will be in contention
4 – Extremely dangerous – good 2nd in last run, may be backed now to fund the bookies
5 – Thalassa – Good 2nd earlier, with extended distance have good chance now
6 – Simple sum – maiden after 12 runs, improving with each run, with this jockey upset as 13th time lucky
7 – Reverberating – maiden after 24runs, tracking well now, can it clear the maidens now?
8 – Magnificent Mary – another maiden, with upsetting chance

My choice: (3) Kings Kid at same distance already beaten ED, Thalassa, SS & Reverberating, out of these four (6) Simple Sum, having handicap advantage now to beat all others and may clear the maiden ranks today, place will be safe bet

1-5 THALASSA - Ridden by TP came from behind to finish a good second over 1400m, with 200m extra, by Multidimensional and moreover TP riding again will see the winning post this time.

2-6 MIDNIGHT SKY - Was given a good ride by Vishal in a lower set over 1400m and winning by more than 4L, this time going 400m extra in a upper class, but I don't see any problem because of ACE.

3-3 ARECA CRUISE - Brought down to 1200m after three runs this season over 1600/1400m. Burden of Proof is versatile to go any distance and with TP on board this time has an advantage.

4-1 ANACAPRI - By Mineshaft is in rousing form and should run away with the sprinters million and Torsoro will come close.

5-3 ROYAL SCEPTRE - Won well with an apprentice jockey and now with Sandesh in the saddle is an advantage, it is the same with Let the lion roar with suraj in the saddle, but my choice is RC who is a 4yr old.

6-10 GOLDEN SUCCESS - Ran a very good 2nd over 1200m to Zafran after a long lay off with same jockey VR, is bound to go well over 1400m. This is my Days Best.

7-5 ASHWA BAHULA - This is a maiden race and he was given a lung opener this month, with Deora riding again, should win with longer odds.
