I n a graded race ,I see two things.

tHE RUN IN Earlier graded races that is in 1,2,3

The company it has beaten and pre race readyiness .
Two horses stand out.[both tracked on same day one very easy]

CAPT MORGAN and Supreme general Now the wts. favour the latter.

So for me an each way bet on S.general [certainly not the days best].

If a real gambler take a chance on Queen Credible.why not a clear bet simple bad habit of being slow off the blocks ,good habit execellent finish.

Hall of Famer, Star Nijinsky, Jersey Wonder, Serendine, and Cadman are no hopers in this set.

Rest Whomakestherules, Mathaiyus, Captain Morgan, Salazar,and Supreme General are the Contenders, as they are separated by half a length in the above order.

If you go by the latest run, then Salazar comes best in timings, that was in Class-I, but this is a Terms race, where she carries 7.5 Kg extra. She was fair 5th in the Invitation Cup behind Temerity, but in that race Supreme General (today carries no penalty) finished 1.60 seconds ahead of Salazar, so Salazar cannot reverse that distance today on Supreme General. Although Supreme General's last run in R.No.90 was a bit slower than expected, it is to be recalled Mathaius won that race with Record timings, Captain Morgan and Whomakestherules were also in the vicinity. So all in all this is going to be another fight between WHOMAKESTHERULES, MATHAIYUS & CAPTAIN MORGAN.

When a colt wins graded races like The Maharaja's Gold Cup, it adds to its stud value, in that sense both will be tried. Captain Morgan carries 6 Kg penalty, Whomakestherules carries 4.5 kg, and Mathaiyus carries 2 Kg penalty as per the terms of this race. Terms of this race favouring MATHAIYUS but the speed and stamina factors bring the other two also in the ring ans contenders, and I stated earlier the trio is separated by half a length - WHOMAKESTHERULES comes first, MATHAIYUS second, CAPTAIN MORGAN third in that order in my calculations.

Watch Paddock parade and check the fitness of the horses, the connections presence in the paddock is a plus point, Trainers wearing Blue Colour Shirts inside Coat, and more than anything a calm and quiet horse will win the race, rather than jumping jacks.

I could not see even one horse close to Salazar. It has reached peak of it's form and I can't see any one beating it with Trevor being choosen to guide it.
Iam delighted that with the kind of selections punters are making here it will get very good odds.

Just saw the race of Temerity on invitation day
Supreme general has beaten Tororosso @ level weights coming from the very back of the field and flying in the last 200 metres ...

Good acceleration from way behind .....


if the race is run by merits without hiccups and FIXING
SUPREME GENERAL shud be at the busy end running ahead of Salaazar too
whom he beat easily at level weights and now recieving 6 kilos .

SUPREME GENERAL - By Old Forester is capable enough to win the Maharaja Gold Cup. He was 2nd to Temerity in the Invitation Cup beating most of the horses running in this race. Akshay Kumar is still learning and cannot be compared to Suraj, Neeraj, PS Chauhan, Sandesh... If he controls the horse and position him well, then he can win the race. Last run the horse was running almost last after the start and came well to finish 7L behind the winner over 1800m. Distance is not an issue. Secondly, Salazaar was 3.25L behind SG in invitation cup, the way he won recently suggests he can go the distance and give a fight to SG. It is going to be interesting, odds will be good and you need to pick the right one.

Its going to be 4-8-SERENDINE who can upset if positioned rightly by PSC. Should Place atleast.
