I am opening this thread a bit early at Acceptance stage so as there is plenty of time for in depth analysis of the Bangalore Summer Derby.
Having gone through the runners and their past performances I think the Colts have a much stronger upper hand than the Fillies except maybe for Manifold.
The top three in the Colts Championship should have a big say at the finish. Tutankhamen was struggling in the last 300 meters so I am discounting his chances for the 2000 meters trip. Both Perfect Star and Olympia Fields were seen finishing strongly and the extended trip may suit them.
I am a bit perplexed by the runs of Apache Sunrise who I expected to run a big race last time as also Capo di Capi who ran like a dud. Maybe something went wrong with then physically and I am inclined to give them a second chance to run a much better race. Manifold's timing was inferior to the Colts and unless Pesi has done some miracle with her I don't fancy her chances much.
All in all a great competitive race and my choices are.., Olympia Fields.. Apache Sunrise and Capi de capi.
P.s Castlebridge has paid a whopping 21.5 lakhs as late entry fee!

I have made my Pick for the Derby its Angel Power.
It will be a start to finish effort by the daughter of Angilique.
Like Angel Dust which paid me 671 for W and 71 for pl ,she will out pace all the rest who are Milers at best.
My bet 500 win 500 pl .Castle Bridge is a good Lay my 2000.I will eat if get to do at 2 Re.
My budget 5000.Thats it

WINDSOR FOREST WHO DID NOT GET A CLEAR PASSAGE AND WAS CHECKED WHEN WAS IN TOP GEAR LAST RUN HAS A OUTSTANDING CHANCE TO TAKE THE DERBY.
OLYMPIA FIELDS WAS ALSO VERY GOOD FROM A HOPELESS POSITION TO BE THIRD IN LAST RUN AND WAS FULL OF RUNNING.
