Well prepared LADY BARRINGTON strongly fancied for The Nawab M.Arshad Ali Khan Memorial Cup.

1.15 After 5 starts AUTOMATIC is still a maiden and his last effort at mile was noteworthy.
GOSHAWK is well bred got abroad who only had the one start and could be open to improvement over this trip.
GREAT TRIBUTE's last effort was suggestive but was against ordinary field. Faces better juveniles here and win looks tough.
LAWRENCE OF ARABIA resumes from a long spell and has been well prepared. Trainer still experimenting with different equipments. May need this run.
ANGELS TOUCH has matched strides with better types and ran a forward race in fillies trial stakes. Will be in the finish.
Ignore CASTANEA's last effort in fillies trial stakes, she merits attention for her earlier good 2nd to SHAMAN Has been sharpened up and can upset.

GRECIAN LIGHT is failed favourite up in grade and gets in well after the claim.

MULTITUDE was seen finishing fastest last out in sprint trip. Will appreciate the rise in trip and will be finishing on.

RARE RHYTHM drops in grade and is a top miler. Was In terrific form in winters.
ARK ROYAL led throughout to win commandingly last start while resuming. Will burn forward again and prove tough to catch if stays the mile long trip. Don't discount.
SPORTING PLEAURE has been given a nice lung opener and will fight out with strong rider in saddle. Handicap suits.
ARVAK doesn't impress at this trip and under this new trainer.
HARTNELL has age and weight in favour but has to defy double class penalty.

GRAND EMPIRE left his maiden ranks impressively on the opening day. Is fresh off a short break and strips fitter for the fray.
ALBERETTA is nicely bred filly on debut and this half bred to TINTINABULATION will run a bold race as she looks very fit in morning trials.
LADY BARRINGTON received bad check in last 100m last time out when she finished close third. She is the one who is catching the eyes in morning tracks and looks suited by the step up in distance. The one to beat.
OCCITAN finished on the placegetters heels last start resuming after covering ground in the run. Fitter here and the extra distance suits.

5.45 SALVATORE MUNDY is well bred and has been nicely prepared. Can upset with 4kg claim.
DUKE OF NORFOLK is the front runner who will appreciate this trip.
GAME AGAIN is the top rated 3yo on resumption. Rider repeats and ready to go fresh.
ULTIMATE MAGIC put in a good show last time out and has try rider.
CASHMERE impressed most back from the spell and has low weights.

Race 1 Win#2-GOSHAWK
Despite lugging in, came strongly from the rear of the field over 1400m, to finish a decent runner up to the runaway Romantic Star. With an additional 200m to traval, Sandesh should romp home, having already partnered Goshawk in his previous essay.

MY BET: 2K Win on GOSHAWK


Race 2 Win#1-KINGS SON
Won convincingly in his last start, inspite of being its first run after gelding. Ought to have improved further, should score an encore in this batch with Trevor being asked to do the honours again.

MY BET: 2K Win on KINGS SON.
LAY: FREE WARNING


Race 3 Win#1-AFTER HOURS
Having failed to win against Magnificent Mary, although was the favourite then, I would give it another chance to redeem herself over the mile trip again.
After all, she too has run in the same batch as Goshawk & Romantic Star earlier(Rc#54) and seems to me a cut above the rest.

CAPTAIN CALM somehow doesn't appeal to me mainly for two reasons.
1)5 yr old competing with an in-form 3 yr old (After Hours)
2)Haven't gone over this distance(1600m) in the recent past.

Race 4 Win#2-BUSCADERO
Having run 2nd to Ark Royal over the same trip in his last start, and retaining form & fitness as evident from trackwork, should make amends.

In fact, MY DAY'S BEST.

Race 5 Win#1-SERGEANT AT ARMS
One-horse-race. A racing certainty!

MY BET: Whatever I have left in my pockets (Funds permitting)


Race 6 Win#5-ARK ROYAL
If Buscadero wins in Rc#4 above, her chances of an encore gets enhanced, coupled with the fact that apprentice Nazerul Alam has also been retained to ride her again

Competition could be expected from LEGACY DREAM.
However, a negative point here is that the out-of-form jockey PSC would be guiding his fortunes!

Race 7 Win#1-LADY IN LACE
Difficult choice. My fancy here is Lady in Lace to prevail over LADY BARRINGTON, TOOTSIE ROLL & GRAND EMPIRE in that order.
After all, Lady in Lace is the only one in this field to have won in Cl-II and obviously is the highest rated.

Race 8 Win#6-ULTIMATE POWER
Ninth till 600m to finish a close third to Call Me Maybe.
