Feature events of the day is normally Graded or Class-I races, hence it is always difficult to pick the winner. As usual The Madras Race Club Cup is also an open affair, I can only give a try.
2-VIJAYS JOY:
For comparative study I picked R.No. 149, 154, 157 and 159, because the Penetrometer reading was 3.53 cm on 2nd and 3rd January 2017, and most importantly 9 horses out of total 11 participate today, ran each other on those two days. TIME FOR FUN - a middle distance runner comes out best in my rating but she has only won one race over 1200m, hence sidelined. Followed by Baahubali, Vijay's Joy. VIJAY'S JOY is a pure sprinter won 7 races so far over 1200m is the PICK OF THE DAY for the sole reason that he has carried 66 kg and beaten King of Pop (52kg) by 2 lengths in last October over the present distance, and same apprentice is repeating today. Stablemate 4 year old MR.BAAHUBALI has been giving outstanding track works, but they gray's summering in Bangalore was pathetic. Other 4 year olds EXCLUSIVE WIND and RAHUL'S PET are also working well.

2-ON THE FIRE (Md.Sameeruddin-Waseem Ahmed)
Md. Sameeruddin gets less mounts, and his winning percentage is rare to minimum. On the fire is working exceptionally well, can strike, note.
