Kudla Punch, on the basis of his last run, can add a strong punch to the finish.
KARODPATI is a live danger. SKYBOUND does not appeal.


Race 2 Win#6-HEROINE
Heroine looks well prepared, to fight it out with the Falcon…a battle Royale is in the offing!
Having run 2nd to Bora Bora, a repeat winner yesterday, DESERT FALCON looks quite ominous as well.


Race 3 Win#15-OPENING ACT
Ignore her last run, prior to which she had won over the same distance of 1400m, as a rank outsider with Anjar. Today might be yet another victory day for her.


Race 4 Win#1-CAPTAIN MORGAN
Already the Stayers Cup winner in Madras & Bangalore has oodles of stamina to lift the Bangalore St Leger, as well. My Day's Best.


Race 5 Win#11-SILVER LEGEND / #2-RAIR GAME
Both of them had impressive runs in their respective last starts. It's between the two. Include both in JP.

Race 6 Win#14-RARE AND FAMOUS
Ran 3rd to Tamara over 1200mts in his laststart, moving impressively in the latest trials, should make amends for the earlier failure.
AMALFI COAST from Gowda’s stable can upset Rare & Famous.

Bangalore 23.07.2017 My Observations & choices

Yesterday three jockey’s had their maiden wins for the season namely TS Jodha, S. Antony Raj, & Irvan Singh, today I am expecting atleast two trainers from the new lot may get their maiden success

1st Race

2 – Karodpati – at a suitable distance, and on demotion, can give first win to the jockey for this season
5 – Epona – running after a short break with change in name, both trainer & jockey winless so far this season
6 – Florencia – running close to winners, trainer won opening race yesterday, can he repeat with this winless apprentice?
10 – Kudla Punch – 2nd to Brave girl in 1200mts, extended distance & work jockey, can surprise as usual tactics of trainer
11 – Above and Beyond – pulled up lame to finish in rucks in last run, with this jockey may place at longer odds
12 – Sky Bound – maiden after 10 runs, may place because of jockey
13 – Deepalika – running after almost an year, may need this run

My Choice: race between (2) Karodpati & (10) Kudla Punch

2nd Race

1 – Dunamis - can make it start to finish as trainer closing on the leader in championship table
2 – Proud wish – debut run, jockey having good time at Bangalore this season, may upset
4 – Tevoda – can make it start to finish as trainer closing on the leader in championship table
5 – Desert Falcon – good 2nd to Bora Bora, who went on to win one more, tracking well too, good chance now
6 – Heroine – trainer not interested to win so far in this season, may be given a win before returning to Pune

My choice: (5) Desert Falcon looks good to score, but either (1) Dunamis or (4) Tevoda can give trainers championship closer for the trainer

3rd Race

1 – Hedwig – good third to Amble side over 1200mts, trainer may get a win before going back to Pune
3 – Amazing Desire – won earlier with this jockey at distance, ran close to winners twice after that, can get back to winning ways again
4 – Native Elements – a win for the new trainer is due for quite some time, with this class demotion horse can he?
12 – Noble Saphire – 2nd in last run in lower class, jockey known ride promotion horses well, can upset
14 – Leon – a win due for long, can upset, only worry is the draw number
15 – Opening act – earlier winner in lower class, may place here

My Choice: (4) Native Elements can give first win to the trainer, but has to tackle both (3) Amazing Desire & (12) Noble Saphire

4th Race

1 – Captain Morgan – winner at these distance, trainer had to win to hang on to top spot in championship table
2 – Mathaiyus – both trainer & jockey lifting all plum events this season on that basis got chance
3 – Tororosso – looks like a one film wonder
4 – Serendine – another winner over distance that too twice, ran close to Captain in its last run, can surprise

My choice: if jockey is 1 short of 1000 wins then definitely this is the one to reach milestone (Captain Morgan) or else Kolkata trainer will get his second classic this season through Serendine

5th Race

1 – Force Ensign – very close 4th in last run, with this jockey looks good to score, if he scored his 1000th win will be a sure double
2 – Fair game – tracking well, can be a coup with this jockey in whipless race
4 – Bonfire – close 6th in last run, running with better chance today
6 – Topaz – can upset with this jockey
7 – Mystic Music – ran with better horses, trainer had a chance to equal with topper, if he wins earlier, upset chance
8 – Magical Dancer – winner on promotion, may try again
9 – Honour – with this jockey runs with an upsetting chance
10 – Secret Dimension – can upset anytime
11 – Silver Legend – winner on promotion may be tried again
12 – Lozen – trainer makes gamble with this jockey, may be biggest upset for the day
14 – I’ve got clout – running some game races, may be first win for the new trainer

My choice: most confusing race of the day with many horses have chances I may take a chance on (4) Bonfire, (7) Mystic Music & (12) Lozen each ways small bettings

6th Race

1 – Game guy – good 3rd in last race, may place again
3 – Diamond Green – may give first win to the trainer for this season with this jockey
4 – Humming Bird – at best can place with this jockey
6 – I smile – jockey always tries for this trainer, chance
9 – Happy Hours – good third to younger bunch, if jockey doesn’t win opening race, then this will give him first win
14 – Rare and Famous – good third in last run to younger bunch, jockey having good time this season, hence upset chance

My choice: expecting a three way fight between (3) Diamond Green, (9) Happy Hours & (14) Rare and Famous

7th Race

1 – Ramon – tracking well with the jockey astride, trainer now a days trying with different jockey’s, hence chance
3 – Shivalik Boy – may place with this jockey
6 – Nagarjuna – ran good third in last run, can improve and upset here
10 – A Crown – good 6th with work jockey, now tracking well and with S John up, very good chance to score
11 – Appy’s glamour – runs with upsetting chance
12 – Scorching – with this jockey might try start to finish tactics for upset

My Choice: (10) A Crown & (11) Appy’s Glamour to fight it out

Hi All,

1-2 KAROD PATI - Ran well in 15-35 to finish a close 6th with timings of 1:27:89. Going the same distance and a class down. I was very disappointed with RM riding on Buscadero. If his intentions are right then this horse should win.

2-5/6 DESERT FALCON/HEROINE - Both these got abroad are excellent breeds by Footstepinthesand/Zofanny. Very little to choose between the two, the timings of both are around 1:6:66 of 1100m. My slight preference goes to Heroine, as it ran once once and came from a wider draw.

3-4 NATIVE ELEMENTS - By Windsor Knot, Ran over 1200m recently to finish a close 4th, extra 200m is not an issue. I feel Appu will get its first success as a trainer. The Mumbai horse Hedwig by Dark Angel will not go without a fight.

4-3 TOROROSSO - By Red Giant, Ran a blinder over 1800m in the first run this season. I am sure has the potential to beat CAPTAIN MORGAN. Please check the odds and decide, Trevor is going for his 1000 win on this one.

5-1 FORCE ENSIGN - This looks a very open affair and moreover without whips, If TP misses on Captain Morgan, he has to make up on this one. Last run SA Amit tried his best to win from last to first, but in vain. The 3 horses who has equal chance are Magical Dancer, Silver Legend and I've got clout.

6-4 HUMMING BIRD - By Phoenix Tower, Ran well last time over 1200m to finish a good 2nd with an apprentice. Even though Shoban Babu just got 1 win, should be able to take it home.

7-12 SCORCHING - This is a 0-20 class +5Yrs old. Ran well last time with Sunil Samson -4kg to finish a good 3rd. Change of jockey Nazrul Alam -4kg. Equal chance again with 2kg advantage.

5 ELONA : Running after a lay off. Ran a distant 5th to Common wealth in the mock race.

6 FLORENCIA : Tracking well alongside Top striker which is a class2 animal. Ran fifth to too good Idealist in race no.93.

7 HAPPY DANCING : Jockey was fined for incompetent riding. Tracking alongside Smile Stone which is a class1 animal. Change in the equipment suggests that the horse will be tried for place.

10 KUDLA PUNCH : Led till beaten by Brave girl in her last run. No recent tracks. May find the distance sharp.

13 DEEPALIKA : Running after a Long lay off and change of stables. Impressive in gate practise alongside Sudha which came like a tracer bullet from outside and finished 2nd to Don Dela Dega in Rno 143 on Derby day.

CONCLUSION : An extremely tough race to predict. FLORENCIA and DEEPALIKA may fight it out

2No.153. THE MANITOU TROPHY

1 DUNAMIS : May find the distance sharp.

5 DESERT FALCON : Ran second to Bora Bora over 5.5 furlong trip. Excelled in the latest trials.

6 HEROINE : Led till 200 mts and ran 4rd to Apalachee. Good in the recent tracks.

CONCLUSION : DESERT FALCON may win this race from the short priced favourtie HEROINE

3No.154. THE POLL RAMACHANDRA RAO MEMORIAL SILVER TROPHY

1 HEDWIG : Jockey could not get a clear run in Raceno96. Improved in the latest trials. Should run well.

4 NATIVE ELEMENTS : On demotion and trainer is tracking the horse alongside a class 1 animal. Runs with a good chance.

7 ADRIPHOS : Good in recent tracks.

9 CZAR RULE : Tracking well. Keep an eye.

CONCLUSION : NATIVE ELEMENTS may win this one. Hedge with CZAR RULE if the odds are high

CONCLUSION : HUMMING BIRD & HAPPY HOURS may compete for the top place.
