#10 COLOURFUL DREAMS relishes this track and will again roll forward to provide an encore.

2.30 Ignore his last run over 1400m before the spell #11 GRYFFINDOR is suited back in trip and he will be hard to hold out.
#3 SCARLET EMPEROR can fill the placings.

3.00 #3 FRIENDSHIP only had the one start and could be open to improvement over this trip. With blinkers and a tongue-tie on should give a sight from the good gate.

3.30 #6 SANS PRIX has run in much better races than this and goes best fresh. She scored strongly first-up last preparation. Promising enough and no surprise to see another forward showing back from a spell.

4.00 #1 GLORIOUS RUN has come back from a spell in career best form. Impressed in trials and ready to go fresh.
#4 ATHEIST was slowly away before making up good ground last start while resuming. Strips fitter and can threaten the top pick with slightly rise in distance.

4.30 #4 LADY TWO chasing back to back wins after a strong victory last start before a spell. Resumes here and 2kg weight drop keeps her right in play.

5.00 #2 KNIGHTHOOD is a mansoon track specialist and will appreciate the drop back to this grade.

1st Race

2 – Jabble – on demotion, with good upset chance
4 – Ababeel – on demotion, with positive switch in shoes, but based on the debut run win looks difficult
5 – Thunder on – with this jockey may place
8 – Glamorous glory – with this jockey runs with upsetting chance
10 – Colourful dreams – impressive winner on first day, can repeat
11 – Sicario – maiden after 13 runs, speedy at these weights with this jockey good upset chance
12 – So Regal – good 2nd in last run this season, with less distance to travel, may try start to finish

My choice: (2) Jabble or (11) Sicario for upset, or else (10) Colourful dreams can score again

2nd Race

3 – Scarlet emperor – based on last run 4th in the end of the season, good chance now
4 – Blue Zone – tracking well, can try with this jockey
5 – Fabienne – last season end winner, if keeps that form, good chance to score with this jockey
6 – Spear of trium – after many close runs, found form in this season, may keep that form for another win
8 – Words – good 2nd on opening day, can keep that form to place again
9 – In the sunrise – doing this distance for first time, may upset
12 – Polly anna – from Mumbai circuit, jockey had a surprise winner this season, one more such show is possible

My choice: hope (6) Spear of trium keeps his new found form, (5) Fabienne might be the threat

2 – Aracari – tracking well, may upset with this jockey
3 – Friendship – 5th in debut run can improve with this jockey and extended distance, good chance
4 – Xlite – with season run benefit, will be in contention
8 – Diamond Creek – finished close to the winner in same distance in last run, may improve and upset
9 – Surgical Strike – finished very close to the winner, with this jockey runs with good chance here

My choice: (3) Friendship can improve for a win, (8) Diamond Creek can place at longer odds

4th Race

1 – Simran’s choice – impressive 2nd this season, with 200mts more, will be in contention
2 – Alien – winner on opening day, can get the extended distance too

Race 1 Win#12-SO REGAL
Ran start to finish 2nd in his last outing with a rookie up. Retaining form as evident from track trials. Ought to be a winning proposition..since Imran Khan has now been assigned to do the honours.


Race 2 Win#3-SCARLET EMPEROR
Lost considerable ground at the start, yet had improved well to finish 4th in his last attempt. Has been tracking well; may be given another chance to amend.
BLUE ZONE with Neeraj Rawal up shapes as a formidable opponent.


Race 3 Win#3-FRIENDSHIP
Slow off on her debut run. Seems to have stripped fitter now, after that unhappy episode. With Alford to guide her fortunes...will be hard to toss!
MY DAY'S BEST!


Race 4 Win#2-ALIEN
Won in a fighting finish over 1100m. With an additional 300m to traverse, reverts to his pet distance. However, the worry is the high handicap(61.5Kgs) that he is set to carry, given the soft going condition, due to heavy rains that has been lashing the city for the last several weeks.


Race 5 Win#1-GLORIOUS RUN
A facile class and distance winner. Well prepared to score an encore.


Race 6 Win#2-JESTER
Won in a hard fought finish over 1200m with the same jockey who has been assigned to do the job again. Retaining form; might repeat in this class.
Danger is ALSHAFA, as this could be the 2nd leg of a prospective Imran/Quinn double. First leg being So Regal from Rc#1


Race 7 Win#12-JUPITER
3rd to Sporting Trainer, who was a repeat winner last week in an upper class, I strongly fancy his chances in this company. There are however, several other contenders here, and spotting a clear winner may not be that easy.
