Here are My SELECTIONS for BANGALORE Races of 30th July’17


Race 1 Win#1-CARNARVON
Ran 4th to Romantic Star over the same trip, moving impressively in the latest trials, should win in this company.

However, main danger here is ST PAULI'S GIRL, whose last two runs were also quite noteworthy, albeit over 1200m. But if she can get that additional 200m...it could be a touch and go affair between these two.


Race 2 Win#1-BRUNESCO Ran 3rd to Princess Holly over 1200mts, in his last start; as the favourite; good in trials,(being tracked by John himself) may amend.



Race 3 Win#7-JACK OF HEARTS
Placed 4th to Fire Rainbow over the same trip. Has been shining on the tracks.
Will be hard to toss.


Race 4 Win#8-JACANA
Ignore last run, vastly improved in the latest trials, should shed her maiden status.


Race 5 Win#1-PERFECT LEGACY
With a massive switch in saddle....awaiting a coup from Sharat Kumar's stable!
Though MALANA is the best performed horse in this field


Race 6 Win#1-BOLD MARCH
Ignore last run as a favourite where it had met with an interference and superficial injury; moving impressively thereafter, should make amends.
After all, he has been a Cl-1 winner and now been demoted to run in Cl-II.
whereas THEMIS, is apparently a great miler but beyond that is a question mark?
To me Themis is the 'LAY-OF-THE-SEASON'


Race 7 Win#1-CAPTAIN COURAGE
But for injury and other technical reasons, it would have otherwise put up a much better show in his last start...so please ignore that mishap.
Instead, focus on his earlier forays in Pune where it has won over this distance(1200m)in Cl-I.

On the other hand MULTITUDE, has shown a penchant for 7 furlongs and more, as is indicative in his previous essay over 1400m...where it had made a belated attempt at toppling the Sergeant.

In a toss up between the two, I'd fancy the Captain to come up trumps!

DENNY CRANE may be wagered for SHP.


Race 8 Win#1-MAURITANIA
Won pillar to post in a commanding fashion over the same distance. Working out brilliantly an encore is on the cards.

Race 9 Win#7-BAZINGA
I fancy an upset in this race. due to a change in the jockey assigned.
Other notable contenders are CARDUCCI & RARE BOLD. Include all 3 in JP.


Race 10 Win#4-AMAZING LOVE
Ran 3rd to Bora Bora despite interference has a bright chance to make amends in this set. Watch out for ODYSSEY & ROYAL SERENITY.

All his full brothers and half brothers have won 3to 7 races.Nesto, sydney harbour to mention few.

Today can win easily but for the trainer if odds on fav just forget it,longer odds just back it[2to 3to 1]

Card looks tricky..Caution advised..look for possible upset contenders ..

Is well tracked ..Rider will try all the way for owners..had a gud outing last time also Dont discount the chances of 3-AMAZONITE who has the same work jockey but ran gud last time
2-4 CASHMERE has the inform rider who had won on this one earlier..last outing was also gud..going over ideal distance..Also in with a chance is 10-ALL BY MYSELF Who ran a gud forward race last time and jockey change to TSJ..in my observation horses who placed 1st time in their career after 5 or more futile attempts shud be tried in next outing too..So great chance
3-6 IRISH PRINCE is down in scales and gets top jockey in saddle note 2 career wins of him was with john too in last august..2-KANTHAKA placed 1st time in career and bound to be tried now..watch out for race time backing
4-5 EBONY is a gud youngster who is tracking gud..7- HOT N FIRE is speedy rider doesnt install much confidence..can win
5-2 LYCURGUS//3-MALANA
one of them shud win..watch out for lycurgus if backed then almost a certainity
6-7 ANGEL POWER fancied this one along with Olympia fields in derby..but faltered..still i think some thing is still to be seen from her..Dont discard 5-THEMIS who is in top fettle in tracks..
7-2 DENNY CRANE won well and can repeat in current form 9-SIOBHAN is a gud place prospect
8-6 BIG SUR had an outing in this track and working impressively in tracks shud be in fighting now2-TORSORO impressed in gud win 1st run..then finished behined Ana capri..gud chance now..I would have preffered Mauritania as myfirst choice only on basis of win over Shaman..got some class..but ignoring due to 5 months lay off and Excellent art progenies are not liking this track..
9-2 BLUES LEGEND ignore last two non try runs .earlier finished gud 3rd against youngsters now got the inform rider9 RARE AND BOLD ran gud in last outing is in with a chance
10-4 AMAZING LOVE Days best
1- ODYSSEY gud chance to plac

1st Race

1 – Carnarvon – close 7th to Pinyada, can improve, only worry is present form of jockey
3 – Amazonite – good 5th to Pinyada with same jockey, can get into a place now
4 – Freedom of speech – 5th in last run over 1200mts, can improve and may upset over extended distance
7 – Shamsadas girl – jockey known to try for stable, extended distance, good chance
9 – St. Pauli girl – improving with each run, can clear the maiden now

My choice: (1) Carnarvon / (9) St. Pauli girl

2nd Race

1 – Brunesco – 3rd in1200mts with same jockey, with 100mts less, will be in contention
3 – Mayweather – 4th in last run, can improve upon to be in place
4 – Cashmere – can place
10 – All by myself – with this jockey who gave the first win to trainer, can add one more to the kitty
12 – Splendid Brave – earlier third to Amalfi coast, can upset with this jockey
13 – Desert gold – jockey in good form with this trainer of late, can be a gamble again

My choice: (10) All by myself from (3) Mayweather

3rd Race

2 – Kanthaka – still a maiden after 9 runs, may clear it in this lower class
3 – Jack of hearts – maiden after 13 runs, may clear it today
5 – Granada – with this jockey can place easily, can upset too
8 – Simple sum – another maiden after 13 runs, with this jockey might be tried
12 – Reberberating – can place at longer odds with this jockey

My choice: (3) Jack of hearts can clear the maiden ranks today

4th Race

3 – Allsettogo – may place at longer odds
4 – Chemical Romance – knocking the doors, twice ran well with this jockey, good chance
5 – Ebony – tracking well, may clear the maidens on debut
7 – Hot N Fire – twice withdrawn this season, if all is well, will clear the maidens today
9 – Oasis Breeze – good 4th earlier, can improve to be in place now
11 – San Bernardino – good 4th earlier, may give first win to jockey & trainer for this season

My choice: (7) Hot N Fire should win this time out, (11) San Bernardino may be the joker

5th Race

1 – Perfect Legacy – may place with this jockey, who is a trier for the trainer
2 – Lycurgus – ran with better horses, with this jockey might be a gamble
3 – Malana – good third earlier, with this jockey, good chance
7 – Queens kitten – tracking well with this apprentice, can upset
8 – Able Master – at an exact weight where it can make a mark, upset chance

My choice: (2) Lycurgus can be a gamble, also note (8) Able Master who can upset at these weights

6th Race

1 – Bold March – lone winner over identical distance in the bunch, can keep that record straight
4 – Thomas More – going the distance for first time, last run good third in 1800mts, extended trip may suit
5 – Themis – 4th to Manifold over 1600mts, may help the trainer to get a win this season
6 – Balian – good 2nd in last run in the last season, may try with this jockey

My choice: (4) Thomas More can get the extended distance for an upset

7th Race

1 – Captain courage – failed miserably last time, if all is well may try
2 – Denny crane – last start impressive winner, penalty may be stiff
3 – Multitude – 2nd to Serjeant at arms, with this jockey good chance to upset here
7 – Common Wealth – good 2nd in debut over identical distance, after that running the distance for first time, upset
9 – Siobhan – twice winner with this jockey this season, lost out hatrick with change in jockey, can get back to form

My choice: (9) Siobhan might get back to winning ways, (7) Common Wealth is the threat

8th Race

1 – Mauritania – impressive winner over identical distance last season, running after 5 months is the worry
2 – Torsoro – winner and second in two runs this season, going distance for first time, may upset
3 – He calls the shots – good second in last run over identical distance, with this jockey might try
6 – Big sur – tracking well, may get back to winning ways
7 – Setaglow – lost as favorite to Tigris in Mysore fillies, can get back to winning in home ground

My choice: (1) Mauritania / (7) Setaglow

9th Race

2 – Blues Legend – on demotion, with this jockey can give first winner to the trainer
4 – Carducci – owner/jockey/trainer had their quota for the season last week
6 – Manta Ray – can upset with this apprentice to give jockey first win
7 – Bazinga – can upset on any day, from dubious stable
9 – Rare and Bold – good third in last run, can improve for a win now

My choice: (2) Blues Legend may fight it out with (6) Manta Ray, (7) Bazinga is joker in the pack

10th Race

1 – Odyssey – on demotion, with this jockey good chance to score
3 – Humming Bird – with champion apprentice of the season, should win
