Here are My SELECTIONS for BANGALORE Races of 11th Aug’17.


Race 1 Win#2-ABLE MASTER
Despite being interfered with, had placed a decent sixth in the upper class.
Now, with in-form apprentice Ryan being asked to take up the reins, he stands as good a chance as any.
RARE AND FAMOUS, another demotee, also bears watching.


Race 2 Win#1-AUTOMATIC
Twice second over a mile amid illustrious company! Will the third time be lucky with Neeraj astride? I personally think so and fancy him to prevail over STANDOUT who has not gone beyond 1200m, although being his debut run.
However,the only hurdle is the trainer's(Ghatala) intention to win, who is otherwise nefariously known to hook favourites! Hope the stewards would be keeping a hawk's eye!


Race 3 Win#6-PRIZE FINDER
After a commanding victory in his last start, is well poised for an encore!
Further, he seems to have also retained his form & fitness, as is evident from morning trials; besides that, the same jockey has been entrusted to do the honours.
I'VE GOT CLOUT also has the clout to win, being a demotee and with jockey John up. Problem is his fitness assessment? No gallops have anywhere been recorded for the past 2-3 months....funny new trainer or another devious one?


Race 4 Win#3-ICE GLACIER
The vanquisher of Sergeant at Arms, is all set to prove that her 'herculean' feat was no flash in the pan.
Beware of MAGISTERO though, who can surprise this entire lot.....an-end-of-the-season masala! A few hundreds at the tote is certainly worth the risk.


Race 5 Win#12-HEDWIG
Except for Hedwig none of the other fancied runners namely SILVER LEGEND or CHINA ONE, have reported any track-work. Surprising. Maybe non triers?
On the other hand Hedwig, a failed favourite, had run a close fifth in her last start. With Sandesh given the mount, something serious is brewing. I will take an each way chance.


Race 6 Win#8-STARLINE or #3-FIRING LINE
Difficult to choose between the two lines, since both have given earlier indication to win, based on their previous starts. However, my first choice Starline has been influenced due to his attractive final trackwork(-7)on OS.


Race 7 Win#6-SUDHA
Planted and lost many lengths at the start....yet finished a FLYING second to Don Dela Vega.(I had my heart in my mouth seeing Sudha eating up ground...out of nowhere, while I had a good bet going on DDV!)
With that scintillating performance still fresh in my vision...I believe Sudha would be UNBEATABLE today! Undoubtedly, MY DAY'S BEST!!

3.00 Siding with #1 AUTOMATIC to break through for much overdue/deserved win. Peaks for this and seriously wouldn't need to improve much to gain his maiden bracket.

3.30 The top weight #1 I'VE GOT CLOUT will find this a better assignment than his last couple and won't be far away.
#6 PRIZE FINDER will be his main danger after his promising victory in lower grade last time.

4.00 #4 MATHAIYUS stays strongly and comes to this with winning form. Go well again.

4.30 #10 REGAL MUSIC showed great acceleration and won in a canter with more in reserve last start. Can measure up to these and defy double class penalty.
#2 SALADIN drops in grade and has been little disappointing of late but if found best would be in finish. Don't ignore.

5.00 #4 FIND put in a good effort as a favourite at a mile last start, he is better suited by this distance and can improve.

5.30 #6 SUDHA was slowly away before making up good ground last start. Looks hard to beat if jumps out clean.

10 – Rocket Punch – with this jockey can upset based on last run

1 – Automatic – only one who ran at this distance and placed twice in the bunch, may need hard reasons to lose
