The New Trend Of Tips And Betting Against Payment.

By Jerry. | 14-Aug-2017

Being an avid reader and follower of this forum, its time I post my comments on this subject in general.

With 45 years of Racing experience, Owner, multiple Winner, friend and peer of Trainers, having a 70% Strike-Rate in picking Winners, I am amused at the Tipsters and their Betting against Payment which is Guesswork and a Risky Proposition.

Selection is one thing and some of the guys on this Forum are excellent and savvy. But to Tip against Money which is the latest Trend is absolutely sinful. Most of these Tipsters are Outsiders, just speculating without inside knowledge of the machinations of the stable, the preparation, feed and the farting leading up to the Race after the Horse has been Entered and Handicapped with Purpose.(Sometimes secret information is leaked and result in gambles on the sly and the poor Trainer is victimized. Sometimes favourites are made to loose by overfeeding, tubing or by several other unscrupulous running methods, all part and parcel of the game.)

It is a very murky industry designed to fool the Public with no transparency or mercy. So, as Punters we have to be more intelligent to Break the System. Inside information is good but I for one Shortlist Horses, see the Condition in the Ring, gauge the Weight and finally wait for Colour of Money before Wagering. Not always correct, but 60/70% of the time is not bad???(Today for Instance, Racing Ikon looked Dry in the ring, A General was running first time after Gelding so I took a W/P chance on Fair Game at 10s and 2.5. - almost won! Again, Saptajit thought running after 1 year, worked well and did extensive swimming to be at almost same body weight when last won, so, worth a chance!!!)

Racing is like fishing and good Anglers consider all stats before casting, like them, we Punters should also be Patient, consider all angles before Wagering(if we can and I know its very hard to do). Finally there's the Element of Luck and some are more luckier than others but Rules are the same for all and homework is most mandatory.

My earnest advise is to refrain from Wagering on Tips as even the Best Trainers don't Tip only Fancy or strongly Fancy runners. Do the homework and wait to strike. Common Forums with Collective Thinking is the Future with the Advent of Social Networking.

Dear Jerry kindly confirm whether you are the same ex owner Jerry. Secondly you write this post with anger. Did you actually get cheated by any paid tipster or did any of your friends get cheated that you write this.

In raceing one should take his own descision once the horse comes into the padcock he should judge how the +Fvt horse looks comparing with 20 to 1 horse and slow study with trainers instraction and see the odds and see the owner
how well he is and first study the type of owners,it will give a some hint and
trainer and his stastics and tote odds this much is enough to judge around 2 to 3 races per day all race should not be played

with regards
good luck

Thats not bad idea. Its going to create few jobs or self employment. Its good for sport and its development. We need to look at broader perspective and not just win or lose, profit or loss. Sharing is caring.
