I sincerely request all turf clubs in India to permit Mobile inside the race course.in foreign countries there s no restrictions.times r changing.those days it was banned coz of illegal betting outside course.but now every center has bookies so no illegal happens.so pl.allow punters taking Mobile phones.Requesting punters to send letters to their race course admin where u r regular for the request.otherwise let punters form an association and through that can take all our issues to the clubs.they depend on punters only.

Mr Sathish,
I'm of the firm opinion that all race courses in India, including Chennai, must permit race-goers to carry their mobile phones inside without charging a fee.
It's a shame on the part of the administrators to squeeze the punters, who are already under heavy stress on account of GST. At a time when we get to see relaxation in rules in many areas, why this mean attitude?
On behalf of all those who visit the race centers everywhere in India, I wish to register my strong protest in this regard, seeking immediate withdrawal on ban on use of mobile phones inside the course.
Let the powers-be tell what the punters can at best do with the phones from inside? Control racing pattern or accept bettings? There is no logic in preventing the people from taking their phones in without paying for it.
It's good if we don't talk about Chennai much. This is one of the hopeless centres in India, and promises to continue to remain so in the years to come. The security personnel have no principle and are mostly below standards (that is because they are paid poorly). Although I had stopped going to races, I'm told that they are mostly imported from elsewhere these days.
